This journey captures the essence and culture of our daily norm at road side food stalls & pasar malam's (night market). Over this course of journey, we will open our eyes to the beauty of our culture and also revealing the dark side of it. by The Fruit Monkey Productions.

    What made Malaysia most memorable for me was a simple THREE RINGIT box of Nasi Goreng this lady down the street from my Hotel in Penang sold. I stayed in Penang for a week and bought her delicious Nasi Goreng every day and finally worked up the courage to ask her to teach me to make it myself. While i try to cook it every once in a while, it's not nearly as good as hers so I hope i can return to Malaysia just for that 3 Ringit Nasi GorenG! lool.

    I'm looking for to it. I like that the video shows both the good things and the things that can be changed. So many documentaries just focus on the good, beautiful things, and ignore everything else.

    Good sharing :) im totally agree that we have to less our using of plastic.. Maybe u can make a vid about the solution for this conflict.. Im a student, just want to share that I always ask the food saler to pack my food into my container that I bring..every day im trying to do that.. I hope u can make a revolution video to boost malaysian's mind of using plastic.. Good luck dear!!;D

    Great Documentary!! Anyhow we should carry an Eco-friendly lunch boxes like Bento Boxes 24/7. Someone should promote that and leaf boxes or twigs should also come back like the olden days when there was no plastics!!

    hey man !! great subject matter on your short documentary, but i think the way that you approach the subject matter could be better example if its a short documentary means you dont have time therefore your aproach has to be very details i.e the malaysian culture - multiracial food or the malaysian culture - road side food stall. Footage looks good but the cinematography could be better

    Yes, what is it with plastic bags in this country. You can come home with about 20 of them a day! You literally have to refuse them. They give you a bag for anything. Very strange and inefficient, no concept of the envirnment.

    I accept big plastic bag & use it for my dustbin. But i will bring my own recycle bag & refuse small plastic bags from the sellers in order try to reduce plastics using.

    Why do Malaysia and Singapore still have Tamil and Mandarin as official languages ? They have been there for 3 generations since independence so surely they should have become homogeneous and have Malay (Malaysia) or English (Singapore) as the only language?

    Nope !!! Malays are mejority in Malaysia ,about half (60% ) in country . Chinese 22% and Indian 7% . Official language in Malaysia are BAHASA MELAYU or Malay language
