Happen to see the great, skillful , meticulous working and manufacturing products like bathroom tapes, pressure pan, ceiling fan and other products. I'm surprised all these products are manufacturing in small sheds but not in big plants. All the products are household products manufacturing in good quantities. But I'm shocked to notice that all the plants are in a very poor condition, no basic facilities. Even the employees are seems to be very poor, poor in clad. I'm sure they may not getting enough salary also. Boss's may be happy but they should see their employees financial benefits also. Because they are working with dedication, hardworking and sincere.

Real heroes! Respect for all of them!

Very primitive but the finish product is amazing!! Kudos to these production peoples.

@@davidhaney1394 I own a business where one of my products is tailoring scissors. The Pakistani and Chinese scissors are very good for the price customers pay. But they are not nearly as good as high end scissors. The Japanese, German and Italian are FAR superior but the wholesale cost that I pay is over $100 compared to around $5 for the same size Pakistani scissors. You can drop in to a scissor or sewing machine shop and try them for yourself. Cut a piece of fabric and you'll see a BIG difference in quality and a Big price difference.

I have watched dozens of these videos and it is incredible how efficient they are working from the floor. Not a workbench in sight nor a shoe nor a glove and it is as if they were programmed the way they work they may very well be androids.

Their employer does NOT appreciate them nor respect them, they treat them like slave labor. Look at the conditions they work in. No safety glasses, no gloves, no shoes. DISGUSTING. The employers should be ashamed and the country should be ashamed that they allow people to work like this. God Bless these workers.

By the incandescent glare and the sparklers coming off the crucible it looks like cast steel. Also the quantity and appearance of the sparks coming from the grindstone.

@@vanreliant5584 I also felt it was cast steel instead of iron. Although with that said, isn't cast steel mechanically inferior to the commonly forged or extruded ingot steels regularly used in cutlery?

Eu creio que esse vídeo, tenha sido gravado na Índia. E de todos que eu já assisti me deparo com a mesma situação. É precária a forma de trabalho deles, sem estrutura, sem uma bancada, para que possam trabalhar de pé, sem EPIS, de forma bastante rústica, mas no final o resultado daquilo que eles fazem, fica excelente, parabéns pelo belo trabalho.

Reality is that in market of the same country one of these scissors cost 4 times the Chinese ones. These are only bought by tailors, gardeners, barbers. Or anybody who want a better quality scissors. Some of them cost almost 10 times the Chinese ones. But they are usually brass handles with iron blades.

Yes. Sialkot is where all these small industries is. Faisalabad is the largest garment producer. They do export 15 billion dollars worth of Pakistan exports each year. We are very good in making jeans. Dockers, h&m, levis, gap, Nike all products made in pakistan. That is an export led industry so that is very modern. This is a new type of industry in which people who know the skill started in their homes etc. They are in the phase of expansion right.now. In 30 to 40 years when their products go abroad and they started earning real money then they would also upgrade. Like pakistan make all of the worlds football and also large chunk of surgical goods. They used to hire kids and such bad conditions. But because of the international orders they have to follow international practices now and all of them imply safety standards and employ no child. This would happen with this industry too when it evolves.

You are absolutely correct on that point! Culturally, it is normal to simply sit on the floor to do things because they have no chairs or tables, so everything is done on the floor! This is just how it is, as seen in virtually every one of these types of videos. But there is no regard for the health and well-being of the workers, no PPE whatsoever, other than a barely usable welding eye shield and the occasional pair of gloves! The young worker exposed to fumes applying paint to scissor handles will certainly experience lifelong respiratory problems and the open toe sandal wearing foundry workers are one slip away from suffering the most horrific lower limb and foot injuries imaginable! Whilst their lives are hard, they are also, unfortunately, cheap! The untrained, unskilled and wholly unprotected workers putting in 12 hour days breaking ships on the beach for $4, and the workers in Pakistans truck workshops (working outdoors) with no PPE, and the unfortunates in these videos have literally no choice if they want to work! The rights of workers to be safe in their workplace is unheard of in these places, and the workers pay the price in their injuries, lifelong health problems, blindness and deaths. We are not complacent in the West, we place more importance on the health and safety protection of our workers and respect for their well-being.
