Not really. Any Filipino designer as long as match yung ideas ng candidate at designer para perfect combination.

A lot of people from the comment section are saying that Mak Tumang must be the main designer for our Miss Universe Philippines. I don't agree with this. Other fashion designers will not be acknowledged since our main focus are his collections ONLY. Yes, his gowns are very gorgeous and elegant, but let us also give a chance to our Filipino designers with their bright ideas! (I have a tita who's really dreaming to showcase her creations on the stage of Miss Universe. Her creations are just phenomenal but very underrated.)

I think it would be nice if all the designers will also compete with their gowns among beauty pageant! I like project runway did with their model's and designer, the one who wins will dress the representative of that pageant competition!

No like she was seriously hithlighted more because of these gowns ik she's a queen and is super awesome but these dresses seriously aided her success

In the West, people don't get offended when corrected no matter the manner. I've been around Asia, Europe, and America, and I've seen the stark contrast of how Filipinos react to criticism vs other nationalities. Some Filipinos are snowflakes. Instead of admitting mistakes, accepting the correction, and changing, you point out mistakes too. That's just toxic. Oh my... the bead details. This is very easy to draw but very hard to materialize. Putting beads together to create another form of artwork is very tedious and requires a lot of patience and accuracy. The designer possessed beyond creativity. So beautiful, so magnificent and beyond perfection. You have my respect.

What I like about Mak Tumang's designs is that he based his designs to the beauty of nature. He wants to convey the message that beauty is not just in the face or in the proper posture of the body. Its about the beauty of nature on what the naked eye looks. He wants to give appreciation to the beauty of nature.

Can't we just have him do all the gowns in the Philippines? Like seriously... Every gown he makes has meaning behind it. It's not only an Amazing dress but it's very unique.

you are abusing the term under rated! Pitoy Moreno who I met a few times at the gym is the Fashion Tsar of Asia. Plus Monique Llullier designed gowns for Hollywood A lister. The Greatest of them all right now is MICHEAL CINCO, nothing can come close to a Cinco ball gown.
