Gryffin's whole sound is based on the layered guitar drops and big cinematic room sound...you don't necessarily need to do that if it's not your wheel house. Ultimately the song comes down to just excellent simple pop progression and melody, everything else is the sugary icing on the top. Well maybe a bit more than that but you know what I mean haha. The bones of the song have to be solid

It's not just a bunch of random people; they carefully selected a young boy and a young girl, and then found doubles who are older that look convincing. You can see this at 1-03 when they're in the tent, and then again a few seconds later at 1-17 when you see him walking, and then we see her in her wedding dress.
