Ensar: I'm sitting here with my good friend, Othman Kiras, one of the great tasbih carvers in Turkey, one of the rising stars in the misbahas arts and crafts and a very, very popular master in the world of rosaries. And we're about to embark on one of the craziest missions that I've done in ages since I did the last such experiment with a piece of Cambodian oud wood. I got this in Cambodia in 2010 and I've been holding it in my collection ever since. It's wild harvested. I believe to be Pusat. I'm not certain but I believe the origin to be Pusat. What we're going to do is we're going to cut it up into pieces and we're going to make a tasbih, an Islamic set of prayer beads out of this piece of wood. So we want to show you how it's done and we want you to tag along the journey and see what we're doing here and so, check it out.
This is Othman.
Bismillah.
After some time while the wood is being cut into pieces.
Ensar: I wasn't expecting it to be his solid on the inside. This is amazing and the smell is insane.
Sometime later in the process Ensar is holding saw dust in his hand.
Ensar: Cambodi kinam, the dust that we got from the first bead that we carved just now with Othman Kiras, one of the most famous masters in Turkey for making tasbihs. And this is our very first bead.
(Ensar holds the bead in his hand)
Ensar: Ma sha' Allah. Take a look at that. That's our first bead from our Cambodian log that I've been saving for the last ten years in my collection. I've decided to chop it up and turn it into a prayer bead set and you know what, I'm very happy that I did because it's very wonderful. The smell is amazing and the bead…I mean this is going to be an awesome tasbih.

I wonder how long an Agarwood or Sandal wood tasbeeh can be fragrant before the oils from our hands stop it from being fragrant, or does that not happen? And if it does happen, how do you fix that problem?

I really don't have much money to handle per month but I would rather save money for years or months to buy 1 product from your creations, than buying cheap agarwood oils from someone else. I did it 2 times until I saw a documentary about oudh that broke my heart. Young agarwood trees who are completely spiked with needles that pull out the first drops of oil from the trees. Something happens inside me that evening. It's like you consume cheap meat products and then you see how these poor animals are treated in the big factories. I don't need agarwood from tortured trees-thanx😭🤮. That kind of tree raping should be forbidden. If people WANT it they should carve their money together. But this oud for everybodys wallet and selling of oud oil that is not even ripe for harvest makes me sick. I have never seen so much perfume bottles with oud in the name. It's sick and sadly😢. Stop buying fake and bad oud!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please perfume lovers. Tom ford's oud is a bad joke that's it.
