I once heard that Steve died because of vanity. Soon after the cancer surgery he insisted on surgery for the lesions on his back but was too weak and his heart couldn't take it. Great actor, great loss☹️

Great Job showing us all the characters we loved back then and The M-7 is one of my all time favorites and brought us the most famous character of them all in Eli Wallach playing Tuco in The Good The Bad and The Ugly by playing Calvera as the same type of person.

It started with the Japanese classic, "Seven Samurai". Then came, "The Magnificent Seven". Robert Vaughn reprised his role as a gunslinger in, "Battle Beyond the Stars". A space opera of Magnificent 7 with Richard Thomas (John Boy Walton) as the guy looking for fighters against an alien enemy. Another Kurosawa classic: Yojimbo was made into two other movies. "A Fistful of Dollars" (Clint Eastwood} and "The Warrior and the Sorceress" starring David Carradine (PLayed Cain in Kung Fu}.
