As for the real life Mahidevran I did hear that she's more beautiful than Hurrem but older too, maybe when Hurrem is in her prime Mahidevran is already getting older maybe that's why Suleiman usually like to stay with Hurrem than her at that time. but who knows beauty standard during ancient times differs.

@@legobrickster0983 | eh, those portraits were painted by western artists who never saw hurrem sultan or mahidevran hatun. they were women of the sultan’s harem, no outside man could see them. we don’t have portraits of them. people describe mahidevran to be a classical beauty and she ofc was. people say hurrem wasn’t beautiful but like,,, would they select “ugly’ women for the sultan? that’s a pretty stupid misconception tbh. beauty is subjective, hurrem might be more beautiful to someone whilst mahidevran might be more beautiful to others. it’s such a stupid debate, who was more beautiful [historically & in the show].

But Hürrem's personality add more to her beauty which basically made her more attractive. Mahidevran, on the other hand... Was very beautiful. Like, literally. But her personality made her ugly. Unlike Hürrem. Which basically means that even if she's beautiful she's not overall attractive especially to those who've known her personality.

@@angelinenabua6336 | beauty is in the eye of the beholder. i thought hurrem was drop-dead gorgeous with her red hair and bright eyes. her personality was rather obnoxious and chaotic, idk what you’re saying that her personality made her more attractive. instead, her personality makes her less attractive because she can get very unpleasant in the series. i love hurrem and her character is well-written in terms of complexity but just because i like her, i won’t deny that her personality wasn’t the best in the series. mahidevran, on their other hand, is also stunning (though not as much as hurrem but that’s just my opinion because i completely fell for hurrem’s bright eyes & bright hair) and her personality is pretty soft and even though she’s also annoying and obnoxious and unpleasant sometimes, her personality was way less chaotic than hurrem’s. i don’t think their personalities have anything to do looks. based on just looks purely, people’s opinions differ. along with their personalities, i think mahidevran is more pleasant but again, opinions differ. i understand why you like hurrem better (even i love her more) but personality wise, mahidevran is definitely more pleasant and tolerable imo.

While for Hürrem, although she is only good looking in real life, her personality like being funny, was attractive. Hürrem was also the only one that could make Suleiman laugh. But I do understand your opinion. Just talking about in real life and not in the series lol. But I'm also not sure... Hoping I'm not spouting nonsense of course... But anyways, yeah.

I use to feel really bad for Mahidevran but once I watched the show again I realized she didn’t actually love Suleyman she was just obsessed with him. Hürrem was in love with him, she would get extremely upset if he so much as looked at another woman whereas Mahidevran would just be happy that he stopped paying attention Hürrem. She didn’t love the Sultan she just hated that he gave her more attention then her.
