Well I did say i had another video that was different to my usual. I'm getting into the narration. However my next few videos will be back to the usual i.e. hiking hills and mountains but may throw in some narration when appropriate. This walk was a fabulous afternoon out and it was quite busy but not over the top. I suspect during the Summer it will be crawling with people. Thanks very much for taking time to watch. Thank you, Paul, for this beautiful tour of Welsh Love Island. Fantastic shots, as always, and a nice narrative line. I was sound asleep when you published this, that's why I'm late to the party. As I'm preparing to do a Welsh song for Ann, I did some digging into the culture and I've come along different versions of Dwynwen's tale. According to the earliest version, Dwynwen was deeply in love with a young man called Maelon Dafodrill. He was a naughty one, so he made a pre-marital move on her, but she didn't give in; that's why he got angry and left her. She was, of course, very sad and prayed to God, who decisively cured Dafodrill's passion by turning him into a block of ice, and allowed Dwynwen three wishes for good behavior. Her three wishes: 1) Dafodrill should be defrosted at once; 2) all true-hearted lovers should either obtain the objects of their affection, or be cured of their passion; and 3) she should never have to marry. And lo and behold! so it came to pass… :=) Looking forward to your next project. See you in Scotland somewhere! Kind regards, Paul

Hi Paul, I was blown away with the views on this one so I am glad they came across on the video and you enjoyed them. My Welsh is ropey at best but learnt a few words doing these last 3 videos even if I can't pronounce them properly. I knew there were a few versions of the tale when I did the research but went with the first version i saw. Then again I then thought how would she know he should be thawed if she had forgot him. Only a tale I guess. Thanks very much for taking time to watch and comment. I look forward to the Welsh song. i should have 1 or 2 videos from the Peak District, England before I invade Scotland where I hope to hike up a few mountains.
