The Lum & Abner Show - "The Post Office" 10/24/48 [HQ] Old Time Radio/Comedy
Lum and Abner was an American network radio comedy program created by Chester Lauck and Norris Goff that was aired from 1931 to 1954. Modeled on life in the small town of Waters, Arkansas, near where Lauck and Goff grew up, the show proved immensely popular. In 1936, Waters changed its name to Pine Ridge after the show's fictional town.

I love lum !nd abner I grew up listening to them mom would wake me and my brother up for school had a good fire in the wood stove and she had lum and abner on the radio.
I grew up without a tv in my home, and my Mom would let us listen to Lum & Amber tapes. And my own kids even enjoyed them.
This is so much better than most of the current content that's broadcast on TV.Thank you AntiqueRadios!
On some radio stations in Arkansas and other parts of the south, you can still hear these shows on the air today.
Use to work on old tractors on Sunday nights and listen to this all the time. Wish they would put it back on.
Thanks to all who post l

In the early 1970s there was nostalgia for 1930s 40s and the local AM radio station in my hometown WBAC in Cleveland Tennessee ran these programs every morning before school. many thanks for posting

Frigidaire Refrigerator is not a GM product anymore.
This stuff is so funny! Iove it! ('course I'm 60 years old) I don't suppose these 'youngers' would even understand any of it. :(
