I am overwhelmed with gratitude that worship initiative has recorded this version of this hymn. My father used to sing this to me as I went to sleep, and it brought tears to my eyes as I listen listened and understood that he was always teaching me about God through songs. I understand, friend - My grandmother sang it, and it is a precious memory for me as well.

I had never heard this song before. My daughter's Bible Curriculum had them studying this hymn today so we looked it up. Her favorite verse (and mine now) is "And reaches to the Lowest hell" interpreted to "Always there no matter how far away from God you are." We both were in tears listening to this. Thank-you.

This song always makes me cry I can’t help it , the words could we with ink the ocean fill and were the skies of parchment made were every stalk on earth a quill and every man a scribe by trade to write the love of God above would drain the ocean dry nor could the scroll contain the whole through stretch from sky to sky. We just can’t fully understand how great and powerful God’s love is .
