Among so many other issues, it’s also a classic case of - Why buy the cow when you’re getting the milk for free?! She gives non-husbands husband benefits. She’s not being wise.

Clay would have been so much more redeemed in my eyes had he told AD prior, Jimmy did, why couldn't he? That said, it's one of those brutal learning curves for AD, we've all been the one who wants to 'fix' our partner, and it never ends well, so I hope AD can learn and find someone way better suited for her, Clay was never ready.

Clay is doing the old, “I don’t wanna make a rash decision and marry someone I just met for two weeks” argument. It’s interesting that he signed up for the show which does just that.

When the officiant was asking AD whether she takes Clay to be her husband, Clay looked her in the eyes and smiled while nodding reassuringly. When she said "I do" he beamed so huge. It makes so much sense that she was completely blindsided by him saying no because he was giving every indication with his body language that he would say yes. He truly paid 0 attention to what AD was telling him, which was that she would not accept less than an "I do." He literally said he "didn't understand the magnitude of the decision." He was not willing to think about what AD wanted or needed because she had put so much effort into helping him through what he needed. Because he wanted to just keep dating, he assumed that would be an option despite being told outright it was not. He was 100% accurate that he was not ready for marriage, but he didn't think that was a big deal or something he needed to share with the person wanting to marry him.

You nailed it! I want so badly to like Clay because he has moments where it looks like he is coming to his senses but they come to nothing. What a terrible way to move in a relationship. He really just loved the validation of her saying yes. He could have asked to go first as soon as he realised he was going to reject her to save her that bit of trauma but he just couldn't help letting himself hear her praise him and say she wanted to spend her life with him. Him even saying he didn't realise the magnitude of his decision and saying he feels stupid just goes to show her words meant nothing to him. No empathy, no accountability. Just gross.

Clay and his father are both the type of people who say the right thing without actually having the emotional understanding behind what they’re saying. This is manipulation whether they realize it or not. You can tell his mom is different; she doesn’t just say words, she means them.

I think his final straw was more so that she focuses on other couples and their strength and she is very insecure about their relationship. He was just like, I can't do this. It was so odd that she was so caught up on that argument too. It was how she HANDLED herself during, the idea around the argument, how drunk she was, the broken trust and how he felt like he could never tell her anything again, and then the moments afterwards. Good drama filled season. Now gimme the reunion. I expect Chelsea will have had enough time to figure out how to blame it all on Jimmy and take no accountability.

The way Chelsea's tone escalates to hysterical so quickly gives me genuine anxiety. I've been involved with people like that who go from 0 to 100 within a few seconds and it's a horrible experience. Jimmy hasn't done much right as a fiancee, I'm not denying that, but Chelsea seems absolutely exhausting.

Im getting anxious attachment and maybe even BPD. I've had BPD exes and they get like that, it's absolutely draining. No amount of validation is ever enough and they become abusive with the accusations and the controlling behaviour. I'm glad he didn't marry her.

Why did Clay go on a show that ends with marriage if he knew he wasn’t ready? I have a hard time believing you go in and then figure out you aren’t ready. And his mom is partially wrong, just because he went on this shoe does not mean he currently wants a long term meaningful relationship. Maybe it was a business move on his part.

Well he did say that to her. He said that he had work to do and wants to go to therapy and wants to fight for her but as it stands he wasn’t 100% about the decision. Regardless AD deserves so much better. Clay spent most of his time warning her and although I wanted it to work it’s for the best. Clay isn’t ready for marriage in the slightest.

It broke my heart to see AD continually blaming herself for “not being good enough” when Clay has shown time and time again that he was so unserious about all of this. Clay didn’t seem to see her as anything other than another mom for him, he wanted to be nurtured and cared for but wasn’t ready for any commitment. He constantly talked about how he didn’t go to therapy when that’s something he could’ve done at any point of his adult years as someone who’s 30. It was red flag after red flag and I hope watching this back helps AD realize that. But I’m happy for Amy and Johnny 😅

The only orange flag I see with them is how they handle money. Johnny demonstrated he has a lot of financial anxiety. Though Amy grew up with similar financial hardships, she doesn't seem to share the anxiety or financial goals Johnny does. Both ways aren't wrong but if they don't figure that out it is going to cause huge issues later on.

I was so heartwarmed watching amy ,and Johnny's and weddding you can tell that they really are invested.

Clay came for the show. That's it. Gets to be on the show but not forced to actually get married. Perfect for him.

Chelsea and Jimmy's relationship is driving me nuts. Thank goodness Jimmy broke it off. Jimmy was nice enough to break it right before the altar. Chelsea needs therapy before she engages in a relationship. She is self-sabotaging her relationship. Her victim voice is making me roll my eyes. AD. I hope she will realize that Clay did her a HUGE Favor.... he is a walking red flag and she deserves someone way better. Clay's mom nailed it. Love how she called his ex on his actions.

Everyone talking about the drama - can we just appreciate that this lovely, drama-free, cute couple actually made it? Amy is gorgeous, and Johnny thinks she's out of his league. Perfect match, and I'm rooting for them. Okay...commence with more drama...

To be frank, I struggled to watch both of them. Clay seemed unserious, while she appeared to be trying too hard. And when in the company of other game show contestants, she acted as if their relationship was strong. AD subtly influenced Kenneth and interfered in the dynamic involving Sarah Ann, Jeramey, and the other woman (whose name I can’t recall).

1. Jimmy made every excuse in the book to not marry Chelsea when really he wasn't attracted to her whatsoever 2. Clay had cheater written all over him and we all knew it. 3. The last couple worked out pretty smoothly with little to no drama. 4 . These people gotta stop saying they love strangers 😂

When Clay's friend asked him about his decision to get married, everything he said was about what AD did for him and how she was adding to his life, nothing about what he was bringing to her and how he wanted to make her happy. If he truly cared about her he would tell her before they were AT THE ALTAR, and failing that if he really cared he wouldn't have let her say "I do", he would have jumped in first to stop it. He wanted to hear her say I do because he wanted her to validate him once again and make him feel special and loved, it was entirely about his feelings as always and never about hers.

Did anyone notice Clay say Marraige is a business deal?! Like whaaat?! I mean, I get it, I view it that way too especially with finances and children but that's why I don't want to get married. My guy came on a whole show centered around it. Yes, he was broken, and YES, in theory, what he was saying was true: don't go in if you're not 100, he'd have been a bad husband, and he needs to work on himself, but he never respected AD. He never gave her the chance because he was never there. AD didn't even respect herself enough to read the signs in my opinion and she deserves to be loved and not terrified to be cheated on. Clay ALWAYS knew he was going to say no to whichever woman was standing up there. Which is NOT what Jimmy was like. He did not always know that. And he TOLD Chelsea straight that he wanted to leave after that argument, but she begged him (it was embarrassing, really). She kept lying that they were great communicators. And then he realised after trying once more it would never work and respected her enough to let her not get to the altar. He said I don't need this anymore. And he handled the situation AMAZING. Laid out the exact reasons, questioned her bullshit ("like what?" and her SILENCE!) then said he was done and reaffirmed his choice.

Y'all... I was literally sobbing the entire Amy/Johnny wedding😭 Her dad is the purest soul, and the blending of their families was so beautiful to watch! Hoping for nothing but happiness for them.

Among so many other issues, it was also a classic case of - Why buy the cow when you’re getting the milk for free?! He wanted to keep milking her without marrying her. She gives non-husbands husband benefits. That’s not wise.

Chelsea and Jimmy needed to breakup. I do sympathize with Chelsea though because it was obvious Jimmy was never really interested. Her anxious outbursts were likely a result of her picking up on that even if she didn’t want to admit it. Also AD dodged a bullet honestly. He wasn’t ready for marriage. Clearly.

I was doing cartwheels and backfilps when Jimmy broke it off.

I agree with Clay that it wouldn’t be responsible for them to get married. They most likely would’ve broken up anyway and he wasn’t good for her. But I don’t agree with breaking the news at the alter. If he wanted to continue his relationship with AD, he should’ve had a conversation with her before she even put on that wedding dress. Even if he didn’t want to keep dating, it’s cruel to get someone’s hopes up like that and have their family show up for a wedding you know isn’t going to happen. AD said she didn’t come there for a long-term engagement, so maybe he was scared of getting rejected. But I honestly don’t know how he was expecting that to go. She’s definitely not going to want you after you hurt her like that. His reasoning was a total cop out as well. He wasn’t ready, period. AD’s finances were something they could’ve worked out together if he was really concerned about it but genuinely wanted to be with her.

They did have a conversation and AD was very explicit that she wouldn't date Clay if he said no at the altar and that she was on the show for the complete experience. I don't think Clay believed that she wouldn't date him afterwards. I'm hoping that she doesn't go back on what she said and we see them together at the reunion. Hearing a man say to you that he is worried about cheating on you is a massive red flag. Clay definitely needs therapy and at least he recognises he has to work on himself. But not to the detriment of AD by continuing their relationship. :)

This season was a mess. When I found myself rooting for Jimmy, I new it was a wrap. Clay was a walking contradiction and whole mess. So glad Chelsea is off my screen...one more episode of her and she can return to obscurity. Now we have to endure the awfulness that is Vanessa Lachey in this reunion. UGH!

it appears she got her upper lip lifted in the past through some sort of cosmetic procedure, probably to make her upper and lower lip more balanced-out for aesthetic purposes, I could be wrong, that's just my opinion though, it also seems like she over-lines her lips quite a bit too

Chelsea definitely isn’t perfect and neither is Jimmy. He didn’t like her from the start, so I don’t believe him that regard, but I do believe he tried. However, it’s very telling how Jimmy did everything in his power to basically protect his ex and I would be uncomfortable with him constantly talking to her too. Like being casual friends, sure, but there is a line of respect within relationships. Also I feel like their final conversation was definitely edited in a certain way. Idk some things just felt left out of the final edit. Those two were just not right for each other, so thank god they ended it but I feel like some shit is just missing

The rudest thing that really rubbed me the wrong was was how many times did Jimmy start talking during and argument, with Chelsea to IMMEDIATELY backfire with, "I'M NOT DONE TALKING" and he stopped so she could continue, yet when he does it she doesn't give him the same respect. She's honestly such a joke of a human being, and Jimmy was way too polite and gave her too much grace in that relationship. He deserves someone way better.

Never thought I'd be here rooting for Jimmy I was so proud.

Now I'm wondering if Jimmy was going to break up with Chelsea earlier until the producers bribed him with a theme park all to himself. Chelsea has issues and should not be with Jimmy, but Jimmy has a bunch of issues as well.

I knew since before they left the pods AD would say “Yes.” and Clay would say “No.” AD needs therapy. She doesn’t read between the lines and she isn’t honest with herself about what she sees and hears from the people she dates. Being “all in” is not going to make someone “all in” for you. Her mother’s ’pick-me’ outlook does NOT help. I hope she watches this and learns from it. 😢

Im sorry but if all of chelseas behaviors would have come from a male contestant, I believe the audience would be a lot harder on it. I actually agree with this. There is a double standard with this type of behavior. Chelsea was so annoying to me in their arguments. Yes, Jimmy was no angel in their dynamic. It's like Chelsea made a big deal out of everything so much so she couldn't let her dude rest. He had to say I love you 50 million times a day or kiss every few seconds just so she could feel completely validated or secure with herself. Listening and watching their fights gave me a headache. It's like no matter what he did, it wasn't enough for her. I do think he wasn't completely into her physically, but went through with this anyway because he possibly didn't want to throw away their connection or he just wanted to save face on camera.
