The Lost Soul is still one of the most beautiful examples of a Formosa ketch. Got to meet Bob Bitchin at a boat show years ago, after reading Latitudes and Attitudes for years it felt like I knew him, cool thing was he greeted me like an old friend. Best wishes to his dream!

Our 18 year old son sailed the South Pacific with Bob and Jody for seven months early on in Lost Soul's adventures. Joel left home a kid and came back a man....(tattoos included)! I finally get to see the ship-- thanks, it's beautiful.

Awesome! So glad Bob and Jody have this wonderful vessel back for more adventures. Sail on, Lost Soul!

I loved the Lost Soul so much and could not have her that i designed and made a stained glass picture of her leaving a south sea island heading into the sun rise and gave it to Bob and Jodie.

What a beaut! Actually I want to see more of it under sail, its very majestic. Speaking of sails I wince at the thought of its maintenance and even just the cost of replacing the sails but id love to sail on her. I hope I can have half the boat that is.

Damon, dreams make us live, day by day. I own a Formosa 52, name of African Dream, and will set the sails from the bottom of Africa to the Caribbean, and then to the Pacific, Tonga. I am 60 years old, and are still chasing my dream. God speed, bro. Just a pity idiots like Vincent 7520 exist.....

You are so correct on the dreams! Here I am at 77 with heart problems and cancer survivor, but still find time to go hot air balloon riding, treaking in Turkey and travel all over the eastern Med. When at home I do carpentry work. to pass the time of day. That Vincent 7520 just does not know his boats.

When Bob and Jodie returned home after 5 years at sea the Lost Soul was pretty beat up. I offered 200K for her and Bob wanted 225. If we could have come to meeting place two fools would have met! I did not need a boat and they needed a place to live. Still dream of sailing her but age has now caught up with me. Dream still live don't they Bob.

I am looking at this video since there is a nicely refitted Formosa offering for sale for only 150-160k around my waters in Langkawi. It is an excellent deal for the price but too much boat for me who didn't liveaboard, too big and too much wood to take care of. I think I'll choose a still big 48 footer that I can manage. Don't stop dreaming, make the dream your own way, dreams shouldn't suppose to be the same.
