Some edits/notes: - Akiyama and Tanimura DO have the ability to stay alive in heat as well, but they don't have the HP regeneration ability that Kiryu and Saejima do. - Majima can pull out the knife in All Star Tag Tournament if you give him the command. - The order of the bosses spawning in Battle for Survival isn't exactly as I mentioned, it's a bit weird/random and no one really fully understands the logic behind it yet. - You heal a little bit after random encounters in Battle for Survival.

In cases where people had to, most people would straight up refer to it by its term. Nobody found harm in the abbreviation "CP" until it became publicly associated with "that". Real talk; isn't that so fucked up though? That CP has become so well-known, the discomfort of mentioning it has produced an abbreviation that is very widely known?

Completely forgot about that mode too, yeah. Expanding on that in a future game would be awesome, especially in a game like 5, where maybe a randomized protag each playthrough?

Fun fact: You can actually get Majima to equip his knife in the Tag Tournament by changing his approach to the battle on Pc by pressing 1234, Im unsure which it is but its the "Free" option. I helps out a ton so try it next time! :)

That jog animation is taken straight from Kenzan. It's funny to see Kiryu "running" like that. Wished they brought those modes back. Say maybe u should make videos of RGG games having cut or changed content.

Replayability is always a good thing in games, even if I don’t necessarily play all of the extra modes, it’s nice that there is a variety for everybody

I was playing tag arena from Y3 a few days ago and Majima does, in fact, have his knife. You need to use the tag partner commands and change his fighting style during the fight. He'll even use it against unarmed teams, which makes them super easy.

Damn I had no idea Yakuza 3 had those extra modes! I really wish they added these back in newer games cause they're super interesting. There was no way I could've known what they had for 4 cause I play the Remastered version.

you can interchange all of the bosses as you wish, but better to stick with the story order cuz there's no difficulty scaling. Also random fights in that mode replenish some of your HP, much like in coliseum

Because I basically played the whole series in the span of like a year, I didn't spend a lot of time with most of the games and explore stuff outside of the story and a bunch of substories. I really should replay everything, since there are a lot of things I don't know or remember about these games, despite how much I love the series.

Majima does have his knife in tag team mode, you just have to set him to right d-pad aka "Be Sturdy" for him to use it.

That really does suck that these modes were removed. The endless chase mode seems like the kind of weird experiemental stuff I would love to see again. At least 3 still has all of these, but 4 with all the different protags would've added a bit more spice, ya know?

I'm not always super into Yakuza always but I come back to it every now and again. I just got burned out cause I did kinda get obsessed with finishing off the games story wise. (Including both Judgments, Kaito Files and I was close to completing Ishin but I had to make a different Xbox account for an understandable reason but I've not went back to Ishin since). However everytime I do come back, I do still think you devillion7 make things constantly interesting with your personality especially with this video too. You poor a lot of passion into your content on top of using editing techniques to support your points. Also yes I am excited for Gaiden and Yakuza 8. Its just one of those things where I'm not always constantly into Yakuza, we all have other interests you know!

I wish RGG would straight-up do a “Streets of Rage”-type mode for one of these games that included Coop; move from level to level fighting enemies, using weapons, picking up Healing Items and some kind of Power-Ups, fight a Boss at the end, etc. and be able to do it with a friend I know some of you are about to say “just play Streets of Kamurocho!”. First of all, it isn’t available anymore unless you copy-paste a link to its download page. Secondly, it’s like 2 or 3 stages long. Lastly, I want them to re-create SoR within the base game as a separate mode, not just a basic reskin of an arcade game

Some of your info is wrong for battle for survival: 1. The bosses don't spawn in order, neither do they appear at once. I'm not exactly sure how they spawn, but sometimes you might find that a boss has disappeared but not forever. Beating a boss might respawn them. If you don't see Richardson, beat a boss and he might spawn. 2. Health items are rare for sure, but completing a random encounter heals Kiryu for a bit.

@@devilleon7I was looking into DLCs of past Yakuza games and ran into formum posts mentioning the Yakuza 4 PS3 modes in this video. I thought since they weren't in the remastered version they were paid DLC for the PS3 version but I couldn't find any footage of them anywhere

As someone who 100%ed kiwami 2, i would love those minigames as long as they weren't required for 100%. Anyone who loves bouncer missions will definitely end up hating them after doing all of them.

in yakuza 3's all star tag tournament majima will pull out the knife if you give him a specific command also the order for the bosses in the survival battle is this (tested in game) : 0 bosses defeated : hasebe 1 boss defeated : tamashiro 2 bosses defeated : hamazaki , kanda 3 bosses defeated : lao gui 4 bosses defeated : joji 5 bosses defeated : andre 6 bosses defeated : majima Also after a street fight (not a boss) you will be healed a small amount

From what I heard in the vid it wasn't even the remaster but a revised OG game (due to one of the major actors getting into trouble) and it seems these modes were added online (in the early days of such on consoles) so when they re-released it, they didn't make sure it'd get such updates or it couldn't get them
