The Lost Kansas City Chief | Remembering Chiefs Great Jim Tyrer

Kansas City filmmaker Kevin Patrick Allen's new film "A Good Man: The Jim Tyrer Story" tells the story of former Kansas City Chief Jim Tyrer.
Tyrer was team captain for the Chiefs championship team in 1969 and is on the ring of honor at Arrowhead stadium. But after retirement, an unspeakable crime was committed, that turned the light away from this great football player, husband, and father.

It was CTE before they knew what that was. How unfortunate for that wife/mom. Very glad the kids survived though.

This Story needs to be told by many people otherwise it might end up in a Waste Basket.

i am not one of these people that when a child is in a "having to go back to school after X" situation such as this and them going back has caused them to be bullied so bad they don't want to be there, i'd let them switch schools or do homeschool if its possible but obviously in some unfortunate situations like this, the opposite happens and the kids schoolmates are actually supportive and nice to them. this actually happened to noor bin laden, niece of osama, she could've been relentlessly bullied after 9/11 as you'd probably expect but it was the opposite, i mean first off she was always open about who she was and everyone knew it and accepted it and knew she had no connection to him or terrorism way before 9/11 (i think she only even met him once) and mostly embraced her and supported her but yeah it's good thats what happened to tyrer's kids and they weren't bullied.

@@cdh5805 Without having a brain to examine, we won’t know for certain what caused Jim to snap, but all indications are he had a serious case of CTE. The NFL doesn’t want to honor him for his stellar career because it’s still in denial about the long term ramifications of playing football.
