My heart shatters every time at the first chorus. The way it is sung and acted is so beautiful it makes me want to cry. And I really appreciate the fact that this parody really focuses around Sam, who is the real hero of the books. Frodo may have been the one to carry the ring but without Sam, he would have died two days into the journey. Sam was always there for Frodo and he was supportive and had undying loyalty. Sam literally carried him up a mountain to help Frodo. This parody is so amazing, gods, it is too wonderful for words. Thank you Hillywood for bringing this series to life.

Olivia Deligan to be fair if Sam carried that ring he would of been dead the same day he took it, it’s true Sam played a huge part and deserves a lot of credit, but Frodo carried a ring that slowly was killing him while also carrying the wound of the witch kings blade and in the end his wounds never healed so his life was never normal again. Sam is the reason frodo survived that trip but Frodo paid the price

Sam is not underrated at all. Tolkien identifies him as the hero of the story. But Frodo is the literal manifestation of PTSD and that is why his story is difficult to understand for most people. If you haven't experienced anything traumatic, you wouldn't get it and good on you if anything like that never happened to you. And that is why his story matters. He carried the burden inside and survived. That's a damn good hero if there ever was one.

Sam, the unsung hero of this story. Finally got the spotlight he deserved! This honestly made me cry, especially the very first chorus. Wow. You guys never cease to amaze me.

He’s so far from unsung though. If you’re talking about in middle earths universe then yes he is unsung but irl there’s always someone on a LOTR vid going on about how good Sam is whilst shitting on Frodo. Tbh I think both are great and did their parts but I would say like you Sam is the hero

@@nayten0324 I think Elijah had the most difficult role in the whole damn trilogy. The others were able to fight external foes and while they had internal conflicts (Aragorn's being the most ridiculous in the movies since he NEVER shied away from his mission or goal in the books) Elijah had to portray internal conflict; IMO Pete didn't do a real good job of showing it and it made Frodo seem like a wimp, which he certainly was not.

When are you going to get with Sony Pictures or hunt down Dan Aykroyd to see about doing a Ghostbusters parody and see if he can get you special access privileges to use the original ECTO-1 since it's been restored. (But please if you do, don't use the current new one they just used from the 2016 movie), but maybe Dan Aykroyd can get it to possibly use it like you did for the Impala from Supernatural? I sure would love to see that one come around by you two before someone else does it.

Even after Supernatural, this one stays my favorite. I just have such a strong emotional connection to the LOTR, you made it look so perfect, the song is just great, your acting just unbelievable... I mean, just wow. Everytime I watch it, it just makes my day. More awesomeness like this please!!!

This is not my first time watching this, but that bit when sam was fighting the spider totally led me to tears. it was so well acted, that when i watched it i did not see hilly, i saw sam, and i saw his courage and bravery in her face and in the music. it was amazing. so well done. in every single video you make, you completely embody the character. its the same with the supernatural vid. i totally saw dean and forgot it was hilly playing him. amazing. and hannah was perfect too. couldn't have asked for a better parody and homage to the lotr.

6 years on, this still one of my favourite parodies Hillywood have done (even though i still havent had the chance to watch TLOTR or The Hobbit movies)

THIS IS SO MANY LEVELS OF BEAUTIFUL

This was the perfect rollacoaster of emotions: happiness, sadness, anger, more happiness more sadness and the all around amazement of this unbelieveble production!

I have watched LOTR about 40 times and still watching..

MAN that was INTENSE! Such an odd feeling to be watching something that is so clearly a parody, using such an overplayed and hilarious song, and yet it was so INTENSE I was flailing! Amazing!

When I first saw the parody I absolutely bawled my eyes out. Every single detail is perfect. The facial expressions, the makeup, the crust lips, the costumes, the entire set. The way Hilly carried around Sam's 30 lb backpack was incredible. It is a true masterpiece. You girls are so inspiring to me. This parody really touched my heart because The Lord of the Rings was the first movie I ever saw in theaters and I've loved it ever since. Thank you so much Hilly and Hannah. The person who sings this song sounds so much like Sam! Like wow! Also I love this parody so much and always makes me smile. It makes me happy and super emotional at the same time

This is so much more than a parody. Its really more of a tribute. I never cared for that blasted song until I heard this and suddenly I was moved. I just saw the sneak preview of the final chapter at the world famous Chinese theater in Hollywood and I enjoyed this nearly as much. I will share this later on Facebook with some of the folks who were there. You have to be a full on fan to fully get all the nuance here. Just wonderful!

I can't possibly be the only one who cried to this :'( I wasn't expecting it to be so emotional... Frodo and Sam's story and friendship really moved me when I watched the movies and your video flooded me with feels... Outstanding job!

Doctor Who is cool

Hilly's acting was amazing.

I don't know about anyone else, but when I watch these productions, I think we're looking at the next generation of Hollywood. If I was a "suit" at a major studio, I'd be on the phone right away. Unfortunately, I'm not. In any case, you girls are terrifically talented. And I'm sure that whatever you do in the future, it'll be great.

This has got to be your most epic parody yet! Every single tiny detail was so spot on, it was like a frame by frame clone of the films! I can't put into words how incredible this is, you girls are beyond talented!!!

A year and a half later, still watching this and still crying every time I watch it! This is by far, hands down, my absolute favorite parody! I could just watch this on repeat and be content. :)

This is so amazing!! I always tear up when I watch it, I love how emotional Hilly is, you guys put so much work into this and it is so good!!

This was wonderful. Sam was always one of my favorite characters. I love that you made him the lead singer in this parody. I must admit that I got a bit teary eyed, at least until Gollum showed up. I love that guy.

Everything about this is amazing, but I seriously am floored by the music arrangement! So much talent went into this!

Oh man...I'm tired of Frozen, but even I can't deny how epic this parody is. OH MY GOD I AM IN LOVE! Plus I used to ship Frodo and Sam SO hard, oooh, the memories!

This was very well made and, quite frankly, a very good parody.

I am always amazed at the production quality of these parodies. Loved this - mad it took me so long to get here

Obviously we know what a burden the ring is for Frodo, but until now I never really understood how much Sam had to endure as well and just how big a burden it was for him to never give up on Frodo no matter what. It's weird that it took a parody to make me realize that. The emotion shown from Sam's point of view here in the video is phenomenal.
