I know by all accounts Tolkien wouldn't have been a big fan of the movies, but I imagine he would've loved the music.

@@stephenkeegan5625 I love them personally, but I've read Tolkien's notes on screenplay proposals delivered to him from earlier attempts and he was incredibly resistant to even minor changes. additionally, his surviving relatives (chiefly his son ) have all expressed dislike for the films. I'm not saying that makes them bad movies, like I said I love them and they were huge influences on me personally, but i don't think Tolkien would agree with me

The Lord of the Rings trilogy is truly one of the greatest achievements in the history of human creativity and entertainment. Despite being an adaptation of the books, this by itself was once in a lifetime.

It is so sad that JR TOLKIEN was not living enough to witness the masterpieces of the movies. Imagine his reaction to the movies.

This should be my home if I were in Middle-Earth. Edoras would be my city, Theoden would be my king, Eomer would be my commander, Rohirrim would be my force, Eored would be my squad, and I would come forward if my king shout "Forth Eorlingas"

I love that but my home would definitely be the Shire with the lights in the party tree. Gandalf's fireworks. And Rosie Cotton dancing. She had ribbons in her hair.

This one sad violine is always giving me goosebumps. And part of the orchestra plays in the same tunes again, still scared and weak, but with a bit more power and a splinter of hope. Goosebumps again!

It would be awesome if, for the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy, they ripped off the Two Towers and the Return of the King for the 2nd and last movies! Maybe have a planet that is the equivalent of Edoras!

Right. I've always wondered what a Star Wars/LOTR crossover would look like. Would Obi-Wan and Sauruman battle it out? Would Han and Chewie have an ale with Sam and Frodo at The Prancing Pony? Would Padme and Arwen be friends? Makes you wonder.
