For me one of the coolest parts of this scene is how Aragorn parries away the spear that was pointing at him, if you charge into a pike wall you can’t go left or right so there’s a decent chance you’ll run up on one, but his skills as a warrior are displayed in a very believable way just from that one move and just makes the idea of him being swarmed and not dying a lot more believable when he can react and fight like that.

Literally the last 45 minutes of Two Towers is better than the entirety of Season 8 of GoT, because GoT gave us what: a scene of an 18 year old Arya getting fucked by some dude, a 90 minute battle that no one can see only by it ending with a fucking stab wound, how the fuck did Arya get past the Night King’s generals?! PLOT ARMOR (I only felt sad for Theon because he had the only good scene), a blonde dragon lady having a temper tantrum so she destroys Kings Landing ARYA SOMEHOW SURVIVES (not to bash on Arya but that is the DEFINITION OF PLOT ARMOR) and then Jon snow reverting back to NOTHING at the very end hmmm I recall something about him being the “TRUE AIRE TO the IRON THRONE”! He came back to life for literally NOTHING but instead we had to settle with Bran the “do-nothing except I have cool powers” king. Cersei and Jaime got robbed at the end and it really hurts me that the writers of that series in general have no fucking clue how to write a story. Just my opinion though, I loved GoT before season 8 but sorry to trigger you GoT fans, the last season fell into a shithole.

paused at 02:32 , I really love the elven armor design for the Galadhrim Elves....such a intricate design with lots of curves and leaf shape ornaments, not to mention the very tall long bow and their curved long blades as their weapons. All of those details really enforce the elves as tall elegant but also very skillfull in their fighting skill and weapon finesse. They are trained in using their agility in melee combat, as opposed to brute strength. The armor design is clearly way better and more elven like than those weird elven armor shown in Amazon Rings of Power. No wonder that among all of the 17 oscars won by Peter Jackson and the team for their trilogy, one of them is in the Custome Design category.

it make sense that their weapon and armor design show some form of nature and leaf design, they are Galadhrim after all, which is a Sindarin word meaning Tree People, mostly Silvan in origin, who inhabited the woods of Lothlórien. The Elven armor from Amazon RoP especially those that Galadriel and her team wear during their travel on the boat to Valinor, doesn't look elvish at all, it looks more like medieval human armor with round and big pauldron on the shoulder. No idea why it's designed like that though lol

For those wondering why Legolas could not take down the Orc with the torch it is because he was a Berserker. "They were larger, even more fearsome versions of the Uruk-hai, standing about six-and-a-half feet tall and weighing an estimated three hundred pounds. Before they were sent into battle, it is said that the bowl of their small, tight-fitting helmet was filled with the blood of their enemy, and then pushed onto their heads. The intoxicating smell awakened a blood-lust that drove them to a battle-frenzy and made them immune to pain." It's the whole last action sequence in the video: Gimli jumps down the wall to save Aragorn. Aragorn then charges right into an Uruk Hai spear wall. Then Legolas also makes his way to Gimli and Aragorn, stabbing an Uruk Hai with his last arrow. As I got older it turned from a cool action series into a showcase of their brotherhood. Aragorn is on the ground, about to be overwhelmed, and gimli jumps to save him. as gimlu starts to lose ground, aragorn leads an army to his aid. and as they struggle, legolas rushes to help as well. the synergy of those three is unheard of

That simultaneous silence-no score, no battle cries or orc roars-when the wall is breached and yet overwhelming boom of explosions and clanking of pikes is something else. In the theatre, you could feel a tremor in your seat and almost had to look up to see if fragments of wall were about rain down on you.
