There's nobody on the planet who could have played this better by Christ that was stunning.
My Brother Eric, passed away on the 12th of November 2023, this is the song we brought him into the church to. He loved it, he loves the spirit of the song, the essence of the sound. R.I.P Eric. You’ll be with me always

The thing I love about this song is that when finbar goes into minor off chords in the beginning you get a real sense of the seagulls and the waves crashing against the rocks. Love it

sublime..the spirit of Ireland and the Irish sea's. A windy Irish night, wind whistles through the trees- makes me proud to be Irish and swells my heart every time I hear it.
The quarter of me that is Irish (through maternal grandmother) soars earth and heaven at the sound of this...the other three quarters come willingly, too.
I'm reading Sinead O'Connor's book "Rememberings" right now and she makes mention that Furey's "The Lonesome Boatman" is her favorite song. So glad she took me here to listen to this beautiful and, yes, haunting music! Love it!

Big big fan of the unique talent of Finbar. Long may he entertain us with his his music!!!
Finbar an Irish legend makes me proud to be half german half irish just takes me to Valhala this music
The heart and soul that goes into this song is just magical. You can picture yourself watching from the shore in Ireland while a small fishing boat smashes into the white horses (waves) whilst coming back to the harbour after a nights fishing the open seas.
The Ultimate relaxing piece of music. You swear your on the sea rockin about on a small fishing boat on own. Finbar does it best but others do it justice too including his younger bros.
Oh divine celestial melody playing through my heart. The sound of Ireland is calling me. Please come to play in Paris. CW ❤
I heard Finbar play this in Galway 40 years ago. They turned the ligths down so it was almost pitch black in the hall. I'll never forget it.

So brilliant its too hard to put into words how excellent this piece of music is.to me Irish music along with its writer's musicians and singers are simply the best in the word.what a beautiful tune this really is.good man finbar.
Just play that again and let the frequency flow. They never would have fooled so many with the lies from "Experts". Finbar is an amateur professional just breathing Truth where lies matter. One of my all time favourites. A kite mark of beauty, heritage and everything great about life. I intend to pass this beautiful frequency on to my only child who is 24 today. Operation Shamrock ☘ 2024 is here.
Absolutely brilliant, learned this on my d whistle, bought on our honeymoon in Galway, class tune
flawless, very haunting hairs stand up in my arms and back of my neck, its Irelands song 1st 2nd and last but in Glasgow its became very popular at celtic park and in the pubs up the gallowgate, absolutely love it, as long as its treated with the respect it deserves its a great sight at celtic park jumping and singing it in unison HH
