My fav Herb Albert song. Love the Latin beat & vibes.
The first clip of them walking through the market with rays of sunlight through the trees is magical. The epitome of mid-60s cool.
Makes me think of my grandfather at 13 years old alone in Tijuana
😲Do you know what's better than Herb Alpert's music? 😲 Watching and listening to his Videos!
He always looked so slick. Just so damn a slick and handsome.
Olé!!! Thank you for your delightful musical Señor Herb & your Tijuana Brass Band. This classic piece is pure joie d’ vivir! ✨💝🌹
What a great band. The trombone player Bob Edmondson recently passed away at 86 years old. RIP, we loved you.
Awesome Forever lovely music.Thank you Sir Thank you.

He's still alive. 88 and going strong. A friend saw him last night.
Sometime back around 1965 or 1966, I heard this song in Brazil, Salvador City in Bahia estado. Someone had loaned a record with this song, and my parents played that record several times and that song became something of a earwig that haunted me for about 58 years until I saw a PBS show (Amanpout & Company," I highly recommend it) because I first heard the song I assumed it was Brazilian in origin. But, when I saw the documentary I was blown away. I had finally found this song. Herb AAlpert is a brilliant composer and musician.
Thanks Dad for making this, and every other song on Whipped Cream, the song of my youth. Still listening and loving it.

My father played the Whipped Cream album for us all the time when we were young. I played piano, but that's the reason I just HAD to play the trumpet! My father passed away 2 years ago this week. I took care of the music for his viewing and mass. The CD I made for his viewing started with "The Lonely Bull". So many were simply shocked with the trumpet fanfare, but it was PERFECT! My brother and sister were caught by surprise with it, but both of them, too, thought it was perfect. I still love listening to this. In fact, I have the trumpet part on my desk now! So bitter sweet, and the music just fills my heart with happy memories. Thank you to my Dad, too, for making this a part of my youth. For my father's 80th birthday, my big band played this for him . . . What a genuine smile it brought to his face . . . Please pass the kleenex!

@@laurasmithpeterson9026 The Lonely Bull is my All time favorite with Tequila being my 2nd favorite. They just don't make music like that anymore.
Modern twist to Mariachi sound blend of old and new would always transport me to another time
I love any version of any Herb Alpert song!❤❤❤❤ 60 year fan..just saw him in Boise..cried my heart out ...
Growing up, the ONLY music in the house was Herb Alpert. It was the only records my older brother bought besides Bill Cosby, and it never occurred to me to turn on the radio. To this day it's the only music I spend money on as I make my living repairing 8 track players.
It moves my soul like no other piece of music.
My all-time favorite record ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Oh my gosh!!! This is absolutely great...I don't know where this came from but I'd like to see more of this kind of footage. More of the "REAL" live stuff, not the sync(ed) fake live performances. These musicians were all hand picked by Mr. Alpert and footage like this is a testament to their wonderful ability. Tonni Kalash seemed to take somewhat of a back seat at times and it's great that he got a little bit of the spotlight. Bob Edmondson was a wonderful talent and the heart and soul of the band. Even though Bob has had health problems and doesn't play anymore, I hope he's comfortable in his retirement. Nick Ceroli was a HUGE driving force on the drums and he was taken from us way too soon. Lou Pagani truly seemed to enjoy every minute of his tenure with the band and his passing is our loss forever. I am grateful that two amazing talents are still with us, John Pisano and Pat Senatore. Just think...nearly half of the band is no longer with us. All we can do is enjoy exceptional footage like this and be thankful for what they were. The band brought immense joy to me!

OMG!!! I remember this growing up in the islands and my mother and father dancing to this at at a christmas party in the 70's wow thank you for the memories God bless you !!!
Awesome. I'm missing you.
It's now March of 2022...60 years on. Born in 1962, Alpert and the TJB is the first music I remember from the mid '60s. Never fails to lift my spirits. The early tunes are actually a fascinating blend of jazz, mariachi, and a surf rock back beat. Am going to see Herb -- now 87 -- at The Birchmere in Alexandria VA on July 26th!
This is awesome.
This record was on the attic for more than 40 years. Now my son in law (25 years old )took it home to play it on his recently bought record player to get in holiday moods 😎👌!
The original 'fusion' music. Herb combined Mariachi, Jazz and Blues. He was IT in the swinging sixties.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Devastador de emoções.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
If time just could reverse, if time just could stop, if time just could slow down, if ... if... Memories can do all that. born in June of 1960 I was lucky enough to be part of the best era of all and see the evolution through out the screen.

understood:...... [ b.July '60 ]........I'm in a mountain town in Mexico now, hiding out from Canadian winter ........ and it Hasn't changed here, still feels like 60's. Especially prices. -and great food, Baja buggies......... North America can go to hell. thx: CS
This is was a sad song for my mom, she remember, the killing of a Chinese shop owner back in 1960s. She often talk about it. So every time I hear this song it brings back sad memory. But I love the instrument.
As a child in 1962, to hear This (now classic) piece of music for the first time sent chills down my young spine. I ‘borrowed’ my mother’s album to play it again and again until it Did wear out! Her solution?! Bought Another album! Different days. Good days full of hope and promise in spite of the ‘world sitiation’.Mr. Alpert?! A genius with that horn!
Still listening to this wonderful music.
It's easy too forget just how HUGE these guys were back in the day. So many memories. I was lucky enough to see Herb and a new band in about '96 at the Taste Of Orange County. One of my fondest memories is of sitting with my kids listening to their medley of TJB songs. So cool.

his best by far
The best american style mexican music in Lonely Bull and El Presidente.
Played it every day when I was 10 years old. I told my older sister that it was a real pretty song but kind of sad and she explained that the musicians were trying to make us feel the way that the bull feels when he walks into the stadium all alone where 1000's of people are screaming for his death. They want to see him die just for the fun of it...made me sad as hell..still does..the Lonely Bull, indeed...

Never understood the bullfights 🤮ugh
The best Mexican music ever performed by a Jewish American (things I learned from the documentary, "The Wrecking Crew", which I wish I'd never watched). Seriously, though... this is one of my favorite songs of all time, and my late mother's favorite album that we listened to frequently during my childhood. Beautiful memories.
I remember this music. more! and ole!
