I am incredibly late to the Donk party, but I thought it would be very interesting to see how he plays FACEIT games rather than pro matches. In this analysis, I wanted to uncover the little things - the details - that could help explain his dominance.

Since it wasn't mentioned, Crouch walking DOES NOT affect recoil in the sense you'd think, it only changes your crosshair placement relative to your target (i.e. the ops head). Moving left and right has no bearing on recoil or shot pattern relative to the amount moved. If you crouch walk to the left while firing, your aim only has to compensate for your relative movement. Crouch walking doesn't inherently make your accuracy poor, it just throws one-more, small variable into the mix

  • @mcelroycs

I'm surprised donk is one of the first to utilise that mid-fight movement so effectively. Feels like every time I jump into a dm with pros nearly all of them crouch spray during fights but never really do it in their matches the same way donk does. I always talked about how effective crouch spraying while moving is so it's kind of satisfying seeing that I wasn't talking complete nonsense XD

Think about what you would do if you were in their shoes and then do the opposite to counterbalance their flow. You will know you are doing it right when you notice people calling you a wallhacker more often.
