The Little Brass Box Roberson Watercolor Palette
The Little Brass Box Roberson Watercolor Palette. In this video I share first impressions of The Little Brass Box Roberson Watercolor Palette with the standard 16 pan removable tray. I also share my thought process for choosing the 16 colors and swatch them out. Be sure to watch to the end to see how these colors blend together. Thank you for watching! Be sure to like this video and leave a comment if you would like more product review videos.
Update: The Little Brass Box Company was able to give me more info on this palette, (thanks to the number on the back, no. 122) it was made in 2014 and shipped to the US. The color is RAL no. 3017 (Rose)- so happy it has found its forever home!
Note: These palettes are made from a non-ferrous metal, (Brass) and are not magnetic. The Popsockets adhere thanks to a magnetic adhesive circle you press on the palette.

I absolutely love your color selection and would really enjoy seeing you do a painting with those
We all wish someday for a Brass Palette.
I’m in the FB group with you! Hello! I saw this posted there and wondered who bought it. Just gorgeous! I use La Petite Palette for my handmade brass watercolor boxes. I also buy Etsy custom made 3d printed pans that fit into the spaces in my brass palettes if I want more colors or if I am not sure about a color. I get pans divided in 2 also. Love your video! 🎉 See you in the group.

I absolutely love the colors you chose for this palette. I only have a few of these colors, but I am inspired to pick up a few of the others you have. They are such different colors and I don't typically see people using most of these colors on their palettes. This is a very original (and BEAUTIFUL) palette setup! I would love to see the mixing power of this palette one day!

Thank you! So excited to paint with them!
This palette box is gorgeous but your swatching and mixing these gorgeous colors and encouraging us to explore our paints was the best part. Lovely way to explore. ❤

Cute box with a gorgeous selection of colours. For information, I recently used Milford paper and it doesn’t like masking fluid. It was very difficult to remove.

Yes - the discount helped me to finally take the plunge - love the color, it’s pinker than it looked on the FB post. Really pretty 😍
I'll add the brass palette to my "when I win the lottery" shopping list. Beautiful colors Buffy. I may have to order the Quin deep gold.

this is probably the nicest palette.
You have the most fun tools! 😊
This box is really cool! Thanks for showing it to us. I would love to have one of these...but, Unfortunately, the paint tray is not for me. I use single half pans so I can pull colors out/put colors in to different palettes. I like to switch my main studio palette up often, and I have multiple smaller "limited color" palettes that I switch up very very very often. I like to keep things new & fresh and I like to push myself and use/rotate all the colors I have so I don't stay stuck using the same colors all the time. If I didn't switch up, there a few colors that I would only use because they are my "preferred colors". I also do not like to make duplicate pans of the same color, and having single, movable pans allows me to switch a color from palette to palette to avoid making duplicates. Also, the multiple mixing trays make the palette bigger than I prefer it to be.

The Roberson palette comes in many configurations and layouts, for instance the inside tray is removable so you could request a build without it to be able to use the pans you mentioned and it can be ordered without the oval flaps, can even add a thumb ring or thumb hole. John also makes other style brass palettes, they are just beautiful.
Awesome! Yes paint something. I need to learn watercolor theory. I know the color wheel but on a different level😂

This is an awesome video! Exactly what I needed to see. Swatching colors really makes the difference on seeing how they all go together. I have most of these colors but haven’t set a palette up like this. I’m so inspired by this video!! Thank you! From Idaho👩🎨🧑🌾🐴❤️
Love the Q-gold too
Gorgeous
Nice palette!

One of the loveliest selections I’ve seen. Question: where did you purchase the little corner trimmer and the wooden block with circle?
@watercolorpour
Ай бұрын
The corner trimmer is called a -Corner Rounder Large Punch, 10mm- found it on Amazon years ago. The wooden block with the circle was from my late grandfather’s wood shop 🥰
Beautiful! Do you happen to have further details on that very practical pop socket? How to search for, or acquire, that option with the magnetic ring?

I get them off Amazon - here is my affiliate Amazon Plein Air Supply Page : www.amazon.com/shop/watercolorpour/list/2SNEFJSY2S64I?
