I'm surprised there is no mention of Al-Khidr in the Islamic tradition. His name literally means The Green One. He is believed to be the Friend of God mentioned in the Quran who walked and guided Moses for a short period of time before leaving him. Some scholars say he continues to exist today and has existed long before his encounter with Moses.
