They have all powered senses , but that warthog knew the lion could not catch it because lions are slow and that warthog was not a juvenile or a piglet , so it could easily out run the lion , moreover there were shrubs as obstacles and this was a further problem for the lion. Possible replies will never be read so to prevent fanaticism.

Simply the lion is an animal without performance and the warthog made it eat some dust. The lion was lucky that warthog had not well developed tusk , otherwise the lion would get killed or injured and doomed to die for starvation , which is basically what happens all the time in the savanna. Without humans these felines would be extinct already , as it happened in Europe during the Stone Age. Possible replies will never be read so to prevent fanaticism.

@@thelayen1665 Hmmm. I've seen plenty of adult warthogs with fully developed tusks getting killed and devoured by lions. Sometimes the squealing upsets me as I watch the warthog not even attempt to use its tusks. Someone needs to issue some AR-15s to the warthogs in Africa.

Factory farming is far more cruel. Obese Americans ignore that for some reason. Also, these warthogs will be on this Earth for a far longer time than lions.
