It's so nice to see people from another culture playing your nations musical instruments. It gives you a sense of pride and appreciation. And even tho I've been abroad for over three decades, I still stop in my tracks every time to listen when I hear steel pan. I guess it's in my blood. That was very enjoyable. Well done kids.

Their desire to replay this song is just a whim away, a whim away...
Im glad that everyone enjoyed this performance! I am in this steel band and Dover has a great music program with excellent teachers. Especially Miss Wenzel who taught me how to play the drums in 5th grade. She is one of the best educators a person could ask for!
THE KIDS WILL REMEMBER THIS CLASSIC TUNE NOW FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES
Something you may never see again in you're life time 40 kids and not one computer or Xbox between them. "BRILLIANT " well done kids you're parents must have been proud of you.
A.walk down Memory Lane. Love it! Seems good to hear young people playing the Oldies.
As a 1967 grad. I'm happy to see Dover continuing to support the music education. Some of my most fond memories are from the Dover High School music department and the instructors!

I love Steel pan ... love Trinidad and Tobago ..... and am Venezuelan
That entire group could come to Florida, open up a bar on the beach, and play to huge crowds every evening! Pure money!
My uncles in the 1970s formed the York Lions Steel Band in Toronto Ontario Canada. Have since played all around the world.
So good! Love how they played this! So proud to see our national instrumental being played in other countries. ❤ from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹

First heard the pan 60 years ago. Still enjoy the sounds of T and T. Thank You!!!
nice to see people outside of Trinidad playing our instrument 😅
Steel drums are one of the finest examples of celebrating life when you have almost nothing.
I grew up in South Dakota but lived in Trinidad for a couple of years back in the 1980's. Still have very fond memories of going to the upside down Hilton on Friday night to listen to the pan band, hearing the pan yard at night up the street in Petit Valley leading up to Carnival, and of course all of the great bands, large and small, during the Carnival. This brings all of the great memories back to me. Great job kids.
A steel drum band at a high school??!! Fantastic! Plus they are really good. Love steel drum bands.
That really was OUTSTANDING,I once saw a steel band in Manchester with all children participants,I couldn’t believe how good they were as the eldest was only about 12,it’s great to see and hear these talented youngsters,it was a Privilege.

Many souls saved by music
Dad use to listen to this on his radio while driving.
This was well done. I love the arrangement. It makes me proud to be a citizen of the twin island republic of Trinidad and Tobago. It is on our tiny island of approximately 1.3 million people that the steelpan was invented. We are also known for our Carnival. We are known for Calypso and Soca music. Bunji Garlin who sang Diffrentology is from Trinidad. Brian Lara the cricketer and world record holder is from Trinidad also. Our most recent sporting hero is Keshorn Walcott he won the gold medal at the olympics in the field of javelin. I love my country. Trinidad and Tobago to the world!

Amazing how timeless some performances can be. Just watching this, and thinking that everyone who played is no longer a child - if they went straight on to college, every one of them would have graduated by now. I wonder what it feels like for them to look back on this and realize they've had more than 5 million views.

Pleasant comments coming from people of Trinidad and Tobago. Continue being proud of this steel drum cultural heritage. (I read 'Caribbean' authored by James Michener some two years ago....was touched deeply by the sad history forced onto local Caribbean people, by mostly westerners.

Who says school does not educate, that was wonderfull and a memory that will stay with them for ever
Kudoe's to the band teacher for the beautiful co-ordination of all players.
Hope & dreams are still alive and well in our youth. What a joyous sound...
Can't get better music. Steel Band / Steel Orchestra as we refer to it in the Caribbean is the most beautiful music. Definitely home grown.
Thank You for the steel band music. It brings to my memory very pleasant evenings in the Caribbean some 30 years ago.
When a steel drum band sounds as good as these do then it is something special. Good luck to them and i hope that the future is very positive and rewarding for them.. Regards Mick..........

Beautiful. I have always loved the sound of these instruments. It was interesting to see the musicians from above and to see they were hitting the drums in different parts of the drum head for different notes. I never realized that a single drum can make numerous notes. Cool!
I always loved the sound of steel drums.
