The Life of Ed and Lorraine Warren

Ойын-сауық

Much of what we even know today about the paranormal can be attributed to two people: Ed and Lorraine Warren. In fact, there may be no greater authorities on the subject. Ed Warren was a demonologist. Lorraine Warren was a clairvoyant. Together, they devoted their lives to saving others from the demonic. Over a span of 50 years they investigated thousands of reports involving devils, demons and poltergeists. They documented some of the most famous haunting cases ever recorded with help from doctors, nurses, priests, researchers, reporters and police. Their work has inspired some of the most terrifying horror movies to ever come out. Today we’ll be exploring the life of Ed and Lorraine Warren and taking a look at some of their most notable paranormal investigations.

Thank you for a great presentation of Ed and Lorraine. I have never had any encounters with haunting, ghosts …I have no gifts such as what Lorraine and other people have. The only thing I have a devout Christian faith and I definitely believe the work of Ed and Lorraine was a very special Christian work , a vocation to some of the most troubled and harassed people who have endured demonic attack. I have been very touched by this most difficult, dangerous work. I definitely do not believe they were “getting rich” in this vocation. I don’t think there will ever be any couple able to be called to do this kind of work. They have given excellent advice to all of us: do not dabble with Ouija boards , or anything that opens doors. I think the Warren’s served with humility, in a dangerous vocation that helped people with a rare reality that thank God most of us are mercifully protected from. Rest in peace dear Ed and Lorraine. I think Our Lord and His Mother love Ed and Lorraine; were and are looking over and protecting their souls. I think probably there are even more paranormal works of Angels that probably keep us very busy with those encounters. St. Michael the Arch Angel defend us in battle…. Amen

DB I had a very minor one once. It was around 11pm, I'm the only one in the house upstairs in a 75-year old creaky old house. A door downstairs slams shut - it was unlocked at the time - theres footsteps all over the 1st story. I went down to check it out - nothing there, they stop. I go to bed. Next morming, theres steps again downstairs - this time they come right up the stairway. I look out - nothing there - they stop. It didn't hit me until a day or 2 later that it was a ghost - NO WAY could any human being evade my search or simply stop/start so abruptly like that.

I have seen, felt, heard and experienced enough to have NO doubt that we are not alone here!! Starting when I was very young weird things would happen around me. I didn't realize at the time but when I was older my Dad told me. Lights would flash in rooms behind me, a napkin flew off a table n hit me n my Dad witnessed these things but played it off until I was old enough. Then I started recognizing it. I get messages from people that have passed to give to their loved ones. I am definitely an empath I can physically feel things from people around me so much so that I cannot be around people for long. I do not question that there are other realms around us and at times, and certain people, can get a glimpse into them. I think it's fascinating. I do not fear death either because it doesn't exist we don't die we just move on. We leave our physical body and live on as energy, energy does not die, It can't. Anyway I could go on n on but for me and I guess many others, once you see, hear and feel things that you know are not of this world and you know you're not crazy 😂, you just, know!! ✌🏼💙

I think that all of us have some kind o 6th sense. Some people pay attantion to it, some not. But I believe that most of the people can "read an energy of places". I always could notice if some rooms or flats were "warm" or "dark" (to the point, that I couldn't stay inside). The same way we can "read" others - their moods, the way they feel at the moment and so on. If someone is mad, you can sense that there is a "heavy air" around that person, so intense, that you could almost cut it with a knife.

I’ve had plenty of inexplicable experiences but one that sticks out the most and that I still think about 15years later, was when I was in high school. I was staying at my boyfriend’s house in the guest room (we lived 45min apart which is problematic when neither of you have a drivers license). His house was built in the 1700s as the gardener’s house for a huge estate along the Hudson River: the main house is now a boarding school and the remaining property is now a small town. I had lots of experiences there: the laughing woman in the kitchen; the black, transparent mass that circled the dining room table; the sounds of old radio broadcasts when there wasn’t even a radio in the house and the electricity was out; the footsteps that walked up and down the stairs and hallway every night; the man in the top hat; the little boy in colonial dress. Later in our relationship, once I had my license, if I got to the house when no one was home I would sit outside with my back to the house so I couldn’t see the amorphous faces looking out of the window. Anyway. The night in question was cold and the guest room was very drafty. The house is 3 stories and I was on the middle floor but the comforter was downstairs in the basement - where the man in the top hat usually was. I walked slowly downstairs and turned on every damn light, yet could still feel someone there. Ya know that feeling when your spine tenses up and you feel tingles in your back and neck and you just feel the inexplicable yet desperate urge to get the hell out as soon as possible? That was the feeling I had. I grabbed the comforter and threw it over my shoulder as a pathetic attempt at protection. As I walked/booked it up the stairs, turning the lights off behind me, it got worse. I refused to turn around until I got to the top of the stairs to close the door, at which point I couldn’t help myself. I looked down the pitch black stairs and there was the little boy in colonial dress, clear as day in the pitch black, standing at the bottom of the stairs looking up at me. He wasn’t “glowing,” like is told in many ghost stories. No. He just was. Almost like a cutout on a black backdrop, like there was light downstairs which would allow me to see him this way but it was pitch black except for the little boy. I slammed the door and walked quickly to my room. I shut the door but because of the age of the house it was a bit warped and so the door didn’t fully close - there was a very heavy rock used to keep it closed. I slid the rock into place, doing the best to close the door from the little boy because apparently that would help. As I lay in bed, headphones in to drown out the sounds of the old house and it’s history, I heard the rock sliding across the floor and the door hinges creaking open. I froze. I lay on my back, eyes wide, turned down my music. I heard footsteps. There was no one there. I shook my head at myself and convinced myself it was all part of the music and got up to check. The door was open. I shut the door again, putting the rock in place again. I lay back down, again on my back. I kept the lights on, I was absolutely terrified. I kept my music on low. The footsteps started again but only for a few steps before whatever it was seemed to sit on my bed, on top of my left foot. I watched as the depression in the comforter formed, feeling the pressure and warmth of someone sitting on my foot, holding my breath in fear. I couldn’t move. Then the bed started shaking - not violently, and not all of it. It was more like a vibration on the side I was laying. I’d had enough. the room had no cell service but this was the days of landlines; thankfully this room had a phone. I called my boyfriend in sheer terror. He came downstairs with his mom. I don’t know if he believed me but I know his mom did - we talked about the weird things a lot. I was offered to move to the TV room down the hall and I graciously accepted. The couch was in a corner of the room with a hallway on the other side of both walls, one doorway on each wall at either side of the couch. Once they had gone back to bed I lay there, lights on, music off. The rest of the night I spent listening to the footsteps walking down the hallway, from one door to the other, then up the stairs, down the upstairs hallway, back down the stairs. Repeat. I didn’t sleep at all that night.

Spirts can sometimes be transitional. Meaning they are there for a while then gone just like that. Also many need some type of energy to manifest (anger, fear). The odds of you catching paranormal activity on a short investigation are slim. Unless there is heavy activity. Like the cases, Ed and Lorraine got called to investigate. I laugh at those shows with a camera crew who show up for a 24 investigation. They expect to turn on a camera and the spirits are going to put on a show. I've had several paranormal experiences but they are often random and have I've gone years in between. Also some people have a stronger ability to sense spirits. If you can sense them they likely know you can and are more likely to reach out. That's why I believe you need a psychic medium on every investigation.

DISCLAIMER: LONG STORY I was a skeptic, but I also believed that just because I didn't have any contact with the paranormal, it still wasn't a good reason to completely rule out the existence of the paranormal. I was a skeptic until a few months ago when I went to Gettysburg, I did a daytime tour of the Jennie Wade House, and it wasn't the typical setting of a paranormal experience, the sun was bright and it was early noon. We toured the whole house and we learned about the significance of the house and it's role in the battle of Gettysburg, so before I get to my own personal experience I'll give a little back story for the sake of context. There was a young woman named Jennie Wade who was baking bread for retreating Union soldiers and while she was baking, she was shot in the back by a stray bullet that pierced through the front door of the house and the kitchen door. Jennie Wade dropped dead on the floor, and her mother and sister discovered her body, they screamed with grief and it was loud enough to alert Union soldiers who brought the remaining household members to safety down in the cellar, and with them, the soldiers carried Jennie's body to the cellar where she remained until she was able to be buried. With the back story out of the way, we were told all of this before we were able to do a self guided tour of the house. We walked through all the rooms saw some old pictures and furniture, but there was one picture of Jennie Wade that depicted her with an unusually large chin and I poked fun at it and thought nothing of it (You'll see where this comes in to play at the end), my girlfriend told me to knock it off, so we walked though the remainder of the house and finally we walked out of the house and walked through the cellar doors making our way down a small flight of stairs. Me and my girlfriend were the only ones there, and mind you it was a bright sunny day and the sunlight was beaming through the wide cellar doors so it wasn't dark at all. We were in there for about half a minute and that's when I felt this extremely dark presence. Ghosts weren't even on my mind and the reason for this is because I was completely unaware of the stories I would hear later that day regarding the Jennie Wade House, all I knew was something did not feel right, I was beyond creeped out by this dark presence, I had goosebumps on my arms and showed my girlfriend and I said to her "we gotta get the hell outta here!" So we walked back up to ground level and didn't give it a second thought. But later in the evening, during a haunted tour, our tour guide finally filled us in about the haunting of the Jennie Wade House and Cellar, he told us that people report the feeling of a dark presence in the cellar that is believed to be the ghost of Jennie Wade's father, James Wade sr. and he targets people who disrespect his daughter in anyway. Mind you, up until this point I was unaware of all of these haunting allegations, and to add to it at the time of the Jennie Wade tour we took earlier in the day, I had no idea who James Wade sr. was. So upon hearing that the ghost of her father is said to haunt the cellar, specifically targeting those who he believes are disrespecting his daughter, made my heart stop. I could not believe that what I experienced earlier was among a string of other reports that would become a contributing personal tale about the house's haunting. Really keep in mind though that at the time of my feeling this dark presence, I had no prior knowledge of any of this, I didn't know the house was haunted, and on top of it, this happened to me in broad daylight, so on top of the conditions being unusual for paranormal experiences, I also had no prior knowledge of the paranormal activity in the house so I know for a fact that I was not psyched up for this. This is the story that completely brought me out of my doubts and into firm belief in the unseen realm.

I love Ed and Lorraine Warren. I’ve read every book they wrote and published, for educational purposes. I absolutely believe in everything that was discussed in this excellent video, because I’ve witnessed and experienced almost all that was discussed in this video. Because of some of the things I’ve lived and witnessed, I study the paranormal as much as I can. I certainly don’t go “looking” for anything…but know enough to not discount anything. I’m extremely cautious in my studies and always ask for protection. The Warrens were so ahead of their time. Thank you for this video. We need more lessons from such pioneers! As well, the only reason I started studying the paranormal was not to dapple in it, but because of my experiences; I wanted to learn the skills and acquire the skills to protect myself, and loved ones.

When she wouldn't rat Ed out because they were "in love" (because then, they'd be able to charge him with CM / Child SA), they ordered her into a juvenile program, to be completed after school. The cops basically tried to bully the victim into ratting out her S- abuser. The Warrens' daughter Judy claims that Judith didn't move into their house until she was 18 ... but if that's the case, how could a juvenile authority have any jurisdiction over her whatsoever, being an adult? I was between the ages of 6-8 and I lived in Tye, Texas. We would all be gathered in the living room so me, my 2 brothers, dad, mom, uncle and granny. We would be watching Who wants to be a millionaire and other game shows and while we were watching tv we would hear people walking up and down our hallway and I would check it out for us no one was there, we would hear the sound of running water in the kitchen and I would check and the faucet would be bone dry and then we would hear the sound of pots and pans moving around and I would check and no one would be in our kitchen cabinets. Well recently we during that time we tore down the old garage, and the old candy store by it and renovated the house when we were younger. I didn't know at the time currently found out when you disturbed the hiding places for spirits and stuff, well the paranormal activity will be more active. During that time when I was 6-8 years old everyday at midnight I would see someone under our street light by our back porch where out driveway and back porch and light was tucked in our yard and nothing was around to give off the illusion of a shadow man and I would open of the curtain and I would try to debunk it but there was nothing to debunk and I would see the figure of a shadow man and then we found out an old man died in that house and found out way before it was a house for coal miners or rail road workers. Years later I lived with my cousins and aunt and I was helping them move in to the house my other aunt lived in before with my Uncle and Granny and the house was empty and I saw my granny's room and I thought her stuff was still in there and I walked in the stuff disappeared and I broke down and cried. several years later I lived with my other cousins and I was coming out of retro gamers and I had this weird feeling cause I was seeing way more silver cars and Hyundai's way more than usual and my had this feeling like I was gonna throw up and I prayed I was right but at the time my cousin Stephanie and Heather and heather's son got in a car wreck and had a feeling something bad happened to them and I raced home and my fears were true and no one didn't want to know how I knew what happened but a few days prior I was watching Premonition and Final Destination and days later that happened but they good just scratches and stuff like that. Years after that I was living with friends and we lived in Cahokia or Fairmont City and just a block away from Cahokia mounds. We heard strange noises and I saw a apparition of a native american in full headress and stuff looking in our window, no one saw it but me and I went outside and they were telling me I should come back in and I went and checked all the way around the house and found no one was on the property but I thought I heard native american chanting. I never was able to figure out why I was seeing and hearing those things over the years but I have watched a lot of Ghost Adventures and stuff about Ed and Lorraine Warren and Ghost/Spirit/Demon/Paranormal movies. I love horror movies and horror movies don't scare me it is real life that scares me.

I do believe in ghost when I was a young lady my grandmother had passed away. We lived in a three family house and up in the attic. My grandmother used to sit in a rocking chair. That’s where we put her rocking chair when she passed away well lo and behold. She said she came back and she sat in it And you know I used to go up there and I had to be at least 10 or 11 years old and I would talk to her she’d stop rocking and I thought she was listening to me because when I’d say good night grandma I love you should start rocking again and I go to bed until this day. She’s still up there because I own the house and she still rocks and she still visit me and I still visit her and go and talk. Thank you.

A Roman Catholic Priest delivered me from Stage 3 Demonic Obsession. I learned the hard way: Feign ignorance of the demonic at your own peril. Silver lining is, my faith in God was upgraded to knowledge in God. As far as Ed's father in the story, he said "There's always a logical explanation for everything." That doesn't sound like something a devout Roman Catholic that attends Church everyday would say... There is nothing logical about Angels and Demons.

Still to this days i dont know those experiences from my childhood was real or nightmares,i think they were real because i am sure few creepy experiences in my adult life, they were real not nightmares. *please dont mess with any demonic board and ceremony or any other things let the door get open to spirits world.
