@@ndeeeedI’ve been using it for 15 months now, it works great! Haven’t had a single major issue. Fairly large washer load, Huge dryer loads without issue. Small issue I’ve noticed is if I run delicate mode sometimes clothes are not all the way dry.

Yes, I have an old LG dryer that stops when moisture drops below a certain level, it definitely could do this before "AI"

Yeah except there are companies (*cough* Whirlpoop Corporation *cough*) that actually SAY their dryers have moisture sensing, but fraudulently leave the actual sensor circuitry out, causing the dryer to use nearly $4,000 in excess electricity over it's miserable life... The feds tried to investigate them, but they lobbied to remove all energy usage regulations for dryers to ensure their shameful lack of innovation is not punished in any way...

It’s not difficult at all really. It’s just a standard LG washer and dryer connected by the UI panel in the middle. The middle panel comes off really easy, then you have access to remove the front door for the washer or dryer, depending on which one you’re working on. For me it’s way easier to work on than the Frigidaire, GE, or Whirlpool combo unit.

The washer is the bottom unit since it weighs at least four times as much as the dryer and spins 1,300 rpm vs like... 50 on the dryer... But still, would be fun lol.

I am currently working on a washer dryer that does both in one. After the wash is complete, the drying process begins. The drying process will also remove any moisture, so there are fewer mechanical issues. I just thought of this idea watching this and also about to go to bed. So ill forget this even happened.

Sadly people keep buying those tin can whirlpool VMW's and thinking they're half decent... they're the absolute most trash-designed pieces of cost-cut garbage on the planet. 700 rpm spin??? What is this, 1965? Electricity is 1 cent a kilowatt-hour? Yikes!

I had one, briefly, about a month ago. Gorgeous machine, but the dryer was defective. I had to return it and wait 5 weeks for a replacement, got a stackable Samsung pair instead. Although I loved the LG Tower, it wasn't very practical.

Only problem is you have to bend way down to get clothes in and out of the washer

you do NOT need AI to tell if clothes are dry or not, all you need is a sensor and a microcontroller with few lines of C++ code

Nice n shiny but I bet under hood it has no different motors heaters etc similar to your average qaulity machines your only paying extra for shiny bells n whistles and exterior that’s it

Well, yes. The difference is the control panel and its location. It saves short people from standing on their tippy toes to turn on a traditional stacked front load washer dryer set

Washer load is 4.5 cu ft, not sure about weight but it easily fits a jam packed laundry basket or a king size comforter

This was hands down the worst washer dryer combo we have ever used. Didn’t last over two years. The smells that came off this thing where never ending and a hard battle to fight. Even with stringing out, washing, cleaning. Nothing seemed to help with the musk smell.

I don't want a machine making decisions for me about when my clothes are dry - or anything else. "Smart" machines are the worst. The machine is a tool that I use, not a contractor I hire to make decisions for me.

Crazy gimmick ! A minor leak or condensation from the dryer leaks onto the washer module and you are screwed, also, how the hell are you going to lift the drum out when the washer bearings fail, ludicrous design with little thought for the tech guys that have to fix these pos.

If you are rich enough to afford it, then you would have more space

Home Depot has these on sale often. $1600 right now. Great deal for a machine like this. The machine is repairable as well, don’t be so wasteful. Has a 10 year warranty as well.

I scored this for $776 usd with taxes and warranty from Best Buy open box. No visible damage whatsoever. I couldn’t believe my eyes!! It was 1599 2 days ago. And brand new its about 1900 on sale without taxes or warranty.

Mold and mildew is absolutely not a problem on modern front load washers. LG has a two position latch that the door *looks* closed but it's open enough to let the machine dry out. That's literally all you do. I've sold hundreds and hundreds, maybe thousands of those, and not a single customer has had an issue with mold because I show them how to use it. They get cleaner clothes, don't have to pre treat stains, drying time is cut almost in half with the 1300 rpm spin, never have to babysit a wobbly unbalanced top loader that just got done shredding the clothes on the bottom and leaving the clothes on top dry and unwashed. 😂

This is a scam ass unit. You need internet to use the device and wash clothes? So no internet no washing :))
