Some people, even if they were going to fit those door panels, would just drill a hole for the window roller, but you actually did power windows. I can't even tell you how cool that is!
Here's an idea for the door lock to work off the Lexus panel. Think about how the electric door locks work on the 80's+ Ford vehicles. They use a small servo thats riveted below the latch. Incorporate that along with a toggle switch behind the Lexus button.
This is one of the coolest builds on KZread. Loved watching u make the door panels and regulators work
Love this project. I have fond memories of the family Falcon wagon in the early sixties. Combining a 60s vintage econo-beater with a Lexus is a great idea.
I enjoy watching you solve problems that I'll never have to deal with. It makes my car problems pale in comparison. It's very stress relieving for me.
Love it. My first project car was a 60 falcon station wagon!
This is amazing. I never thought about the possibility of just cutting a door's inside metal skin and just cutting and welding it into the project to carry over the mechanisms. You did a great job lining up the interior panels and patching it up as well. Don't blame you on avoiding the electric/mechanical door locks. You could easily stick with the mechanical post door locks of the falcon and then installing universal door lock actuators ran to switches instead if you eventually want power locks. Absolutely brilliant work.
You are a master craftsman! My utmost respect for you! Well done!
You keep taking this build to incredible levels. Amazing work my friend. It's amazing to watch your creativity.
good work! its pretty kool watching people engineering a solution instead of buying a product for mega bucks.
This is so good brotha 👊🏼. the windows workin is a nice touch straight up .🍻💯
Man, what *cant* you do?! Nice work! That’s gonna be so convenient.
Super good work on the doors, windows and handle. COOL
You are very ingenious and an excellent fabricater awesome!
Goddamn that's dope as hell! Good job brother!
Definitely much less work on the Driver's side, having done the passenger first. ( Trial and error) Great job, you make it look like most could do this as well by following your lead!
Bom excelente trabalho...me deu várias ideias de como montar o meu....um velho chevette Tubarão 74 76 e por baixo e por dentro um subaru elantra.
Pretty slick, I like it!!! Great job!
Glad to see you and the flexus back. I'm in love with the power windows with the wing windows 😊
Cool video Caleb, I never would've thought to cut and splice the inside skin like that, great idea. Thanks for the video, been wondering how things were going. Cheers.
Keep going, love the videos
Weird. I got the bell and have all notifications turned on but I haven't been getting them. 🤷♂️ oh well going back and getting caught up now!
very good, it was excellent, following from Brazil, A big hug.
Very cool outside-the-box thinking. Well done.
Great vid!!
This is awesome 👌
That is impressive door work! However, the beauty of the Falcon is the dash and how it flows into the doors...so yeah now that feature is gone, and the rest of the falcon isn't anything interesting.
So cool
Windows work like buttah
Have you though about cutting up the Lexus doors and using the door latch?
Cara que sensacional eu quero muito fazer isso um dia em um carro aqui no Brasil apesar de não ter as condições
hello from Russia! nice car!))) did you now about soviet car Gaz 24 volga? it looks like ford falcon or an american car from 50s - 60s. Peace!
Why put a Lexus body on a falcon? (It's what you wrote, don't blame me for being able to read.)
