I grew up watching The Lewis Family at Bluegrass Festivals in Hugo and McAlister Oklahoma for 20 straight years. I always loved their programs. It tears me up when the members pass on from this life. Polly was the hardest one for me. Her smile was like sunshine and her voice like an angel. I know the ones who are gone are all in a better place now, but I wish I could see them all on stage together again just one more time. Hopefully I’ll get to see them in Heaven when my time here is done.

I had this song played at my deceased wife s service as well as one more of Doyle Lawson a songs. The other I don't remember the actual title, but it talked about prioritizing ypur time. Going fishing with your children instead of just kicking back when you got home from work. Use your time wisely and efficiently. No one knows but The Good Lord when your time is up. Make sure you tell your loved ones " that you love them Everyday!"

Love the Lewis family sweet mercy reminds me so much of home , the way we were raised and the love of a large family many who are now home with Lord. 20 first cousins alone mercy some of us close as a brother or sister 10 of us were born from 1970 -1976 we spent a.lot of our lives with each other Lord how I love them all . Sundays at Granny and Paws after church 13 biological brothers and sisters on my Mama's side of the family and 16 biological children on my Daddys side of the family with 25 first cousins.

My Dad's Dad did a tape in 1993 with his Three granddaughters and grandson in law we lost Pop in 2005 some of these songs makes me thank of him he would sing bass one of my favorite songs was salvation has been brought down and glory filled my soul I miss him singing that song

The Lewis Family played on Channel 6 in Augusta every Sunday morning. They would be on TV before we went to Sunday School.

I love it, I love it and I can't get enough of it!!!!!! Thank God for that.

Sure do miss the Lewis family I love to go to festivals to listen to them sing and play as our band was their to do the same but just loved this family! Was great to catch Little Roy in Jekyll Island this year hugs to the whole family and sure was blessed to have pops so long...

It brought back memories of being in Springdale AR, where you played, and my granddaughter, who was about 3 at the time ran up to the front row and sat on your mama's lap!! My daughter's and I enjoyed our time when camping at Mockingbird Park for 3 days! You enjoyed our dog, Oscar, swimming in the pond😊 Great old memories!😁

Standing here wondering, wondering, which way to go. I had forgotten that song, which we didn't sing in our church, but I learned it from the Lewis Family. My nephew and I are one year apart in age, and we sang together at church. I sang this song by myself. 💝💝

I grew up in the 50s and 60s in the NC mountains , about the only thing to do around here was Church, winter HS basketball games, picking and grinnin with friends and once a year the Lewis family at the HS auditorium

I remember years ago when daddy bought our first record player he bought the Lewis family the The chuckwagon gang and Hovie Lister And the statements and I am also proud to say that Hovie Lister what’s my pastor the only church he ever pastored Mount Zion Baptist Church in Marietta Georgia we had some Fantastic signings I miss so much an loved them all
