Wonderful duet of father and daughters. William Lennon and the Lennon Sisters doing The Anniversary Song on a 1960 edition of The Lawrence Welk Show on ABC-TV. I see where the girls got some of their good looks from. Would have liked to have seen their mother. Sadly, Bill Lennon became a victim of a shooting at a golf course in 1969. The patriarch and founder of this harmonious musical group who, himself, had a good singing voice was targeted by a deranged Air Force veteran who imagined that he was going to marry Peggy Lennon and felt that Bill got in the way. The gunman later committed suicide. However, the girls overcame their grief to continue their musical career. And the rest is history. Thanks for presenting the video.
