Hey Sue, happy Monday! Another wonderful tour of a fascinating mausoluem. Such a sunny day, n so quiet. Its sad when you think Francis Leigh had to bury his son only 3 years after the mausoleum was constructed. Its such a peaceful place, and the architecture and designs on it are awesome. It makes you think again, if these walls could talk...! Thanks again :)

I think the only mausoleum comparable in size here in the US would be the Vanderbilt mausoleum. However, this cemetary is warm, soothing and the view is stunning. The Vanderbilt looks cold and desolate. The last Vanderbilt buried there was Gloria. Thank you for bringing this to us to enjoy ❤.

@@SerenitySueGraveyards just found out the wife of william marshall, was isabella the grandaughter of the king of Leinster. and they built Kilkenny castle and lots of monastery's, churches etc.

Been doing a binge watch on your channel. Good stuff. I tend to google map the locations and check out the area and learn a little bit of your country as I am from New Zealand. Noticed that the old Clonmines settlement also has an old parish graveyard back about 75 to 100 metres in the trees.

The mud on the bank in the beginning had a strange pattern to it like individual graves.

Beautiful mausoleum and great view! Sure wish you had the camera wherewithall to be able to zoom in on that settlement. By the way, could you provide the name of it again? Many thanks.

Clonmines medieval Borough is the name, it was too far to zoom unfortunately it became very Fuzzy when I did ❤️🍀🇮🇪

Oh not at all, I was able to zoom on normal camera but just not on video, I bought a gimbal which Im trying to figure out, I'm not great with technology just learning I suppose, thank you

All sealed up unfortunately, windows and this entrance all sealed, or I'd of definitely tried to have a look inside ❤️🇮🇪🍀

What a great view! The graveyard looks to be in good condition. The mausoleum was pretty cool. Too bad it is sealed up, but that might help prevent someone from doing something stupid, like trying to break in. The church ruins looked interesting. I had trouble hearing you over the wind, but how old did you say the church was? Was it a Catholic church? And was the church ruins also sealed up?
