I think they are awesome. And everyone gets it wrong, the Tantive's head is just the right size. I would love to see a Venator, an MC75 and a re-release of the base Star Destroyer in this form. You perfectly summed up everything I love and dislike about these sets!!! So much so that I bought my own extra Minifigures to go with the sets bc I’m a collector and I wanted it to look good. Honestly it looks amazing with the Minifigures added
the capital ships that are released with this lineup is a big win, ships like the Executor or the Invisible Hand are the exact reasons why this is going to sell. I'd love figures for it as well, but I also have figures of my own so I can't really complain (The Boba Fett from the mech + his pauldron from bricklink along with Vader really makes the SSD something else)
Hard disagree on the minifigure situation. Yes, there was the Planet Sets line, and I love them dearly, but those felt more like they were geared towards kids with the option for display for older demographics. A fun mini model that wasn't difficult to build, a character to go on adventures with, planets to pretend you're taking the ship out of hyperspace and ready to land, or if you so chose, you could turn them into Christmas Tree ornaments. And while there were a few exclusive minifigures across the whole line, they weren't treated as being super special must haves, they were there for kids to populate their armies or give someone else a chance to pilot a ship if they had the larger playset version. Adding a minifigure to these display pieces feels more like a gimmick to get people to buy a set they otherwise wouldn't, as if the models can't stand on their own merits. This is also why I feel like UCS sets need don't minifigures. The sheer size and detail on the model is the statement. A display piece should be able to speak for itself and only include minifigures if it is in fact minifigure scaled to show off that particular aspect of the model's scale. Now don't get me wrong, I will always be appreciative to receive minifigures even though I don't feel they are warranted, I love my UCS Landspeeder with a C-3PO that has a dual molded leg so that the print of his silver leg doesn't just cut off at the knee (why even print that detail at that point?), but you're also just as likely to get a situation that occurred with the UCS Gunship where, while the minifigures are impressive, are not the ones people were asking for and really didn't quite fit with the ship either. The market is also flooded with overpriced minifigures that are exclusive to sets, and all because they added one detail that wasn't there before, it's ridiculous. I want that Invisible Hand because it's never been made before, and will make for an excellent addition to my Invasion of Coruscant display, not because it came with Grievous with an exclusive cape or a remake of Count Dooku (even if it has been 10 years since he last appeared). I already own the original Midi Falcon, and while this new one looks great, I feel no pressure or desire to buy it because it comes with Han wearing his gloves from A New Hope, or has some other new detail LEGO would inevitably add to him to give some kind of rarity to the set. Folks are too focused on minifigures, and while I would be lying that they have never influenced my decision to pick up a set, Star Wars is not Marvel where people would likely buy a set because a particular hero has finally been made in minifigure form with the rest of the set, as good or bad as it may be, being superfluous, the ships and locations in Star Wars are just as iconic and recognizable as the characters, some even more so, and they can hold their own, on their own. I'll still happily receive minifigures, but also say that if the Invisible Hand included Grievous and/or Dooku, I wouldn't be surprised at a $10 price hike, which can very easily make a set too much for me when my real attention is on a ship they can't even fit in or I can't really use elsewhere in my collection. I'm not one to buy and sell figures free of sets, it's all or nothing, which I'm sure is really stupid to some people, but superfluous minifigures is also how you get things like Fives and Malak in sets that don't even relate to them, and they're going to be very expensive in the aftermarket. If you don't think the same would happen, even with appropriately themed figures in these Starship Collection sets, you don't know just how nuts things can get.
I’m so glad I got the Invisible hand for 35 at my local target, the prices are outrageous!
Invisible Hand is cheaper than the other two so it will sell more. Waiting til May 4th to order them to get double points plus GWP
I haven't been collecting Lego since I was a child with the original Star Wars line. But these sets brought me back, starting with the Tie Bomber and later Nebulon B Frigate. I picked up the Tantive IV and Executor as well, these are perfect scale for shelf display. On my radar are The Invisible Hand, and the tantive IV hallway. I've always wanted Rebel fleet troopers since I was a kid, and displaying one of them on the stand of the Tantive IV starship would be perfect.
watched the whole video! It´s super cool! Thank you! You are absolutely right, an included minifigure would the reason for me to buy all these sets.
These ships all look excellent. I'm definitely going to pick up one or two of them in the future. I'd love to see them do midi-scales of the Death Star, Home One, The First Order Star Destroyer, The Venator-Class Cruiser (So I won't need to pay $500). Poe's X-Wing...Starkiller Base maybe? And maybe the Trade Federation Control ship!
Absolutely agree. A big Lego fan since my childhood, and yes; I like minifigures as much as a nice star wars build.
The head of the Tantive does look like it might be a hair too small, but the next size up i think may rnd up being too big. Definitely agree, they should be coming with mini figs.
Can't wait to get these got last year's star destroyer great review
Solid Brix, thanks for the content. It's hard to hear you even when my volume is up all the way. You can turn the volume up before you render out a video so it's at normal levels.
These prices are outrageous. I’m confident what LEGO increased their prices by 20% just so that after a year they can sell the sets at regular price (‘20% discount’) and have a large profit in between selling to people who don’t mind the higher price.
These are perfect for home offices. If I was into Star Wars I'd definitely get one of these for my desk. The price point is a big issue though.
You could argue the same about helmet collection - why didn't they include a figure there if each helmet is linked to a specific character? I am a person who doesn't care as much about minifigs - I prefer the builds. And if that series meant bumping the price for another $5-$10 only to include the minifig - hard pass. Not every set has to have a minifig. On another topic - I will not stop saying that: why are your videos so silent?

I think the point being made here though, is that at the price point they are already marketing them at, they should have a figure. Plus, if you don't care for the minifigures, it's perfect - a lot of people specifically want them. Selling them on recoups a lot more of your money than you would save by not having them at all.

I totally agree. Way too many of these KZreadrs are obsessed with minifigures and just need them in every set. I like them too but not every set needs them. Sets like these are meant as display items for adult collectors to put on a shelf or a desk. They don't need figures to go with them
Just finished building the Invisible hand. Really happy I got it.
I love the thought of putting a minifig in, but I also thing they make the bottom look a little clustered
I’m ok with them not coming with figures but then you showed how good they look with a figure on the base and I’m now thinking I may do this with mine especially as they all have the studs there ready.
My Nebulon Frigate has had Ackbar standing on the front of the stand ever since I built it. Will add minifigs to these as well. Han/Chewie and Leia Antilles.

I agree needs a figure for each one or even 2. I love Lego and in cost of living times want excellent value for money. Come on Lego do your bit for the fans and give us want we want so we can afford it!! Lego got my through covid 19 with my mental health.
I love the idea of this line. Smaller sets of popular ships are great and I'd love to get several, I just don't have any desire to get any of the ships they've made sets of so far.
1:52 Exhausting, get it AHahHAha
I have a custom Lucrehulk UCS sized MOC that overall is great but after a few years there has been strain on some of the connector pieces. It’s given me perspective on why Lego has yet to release a UCS sized Lucrehulk…. I think midi scale one however would be a beautiful alternative to it or at least something to hold us over until the engineering catches up to it being able to be mass produced
i placed on my executor stand a general in grey minifigure like one of them in the scene with vader taking the breath of one of them, looks better then without
Printed vs. sticker elements will simply come down to forecast sales numbers - the Falcon is forecast to sell more (long term), so they allow more budget for its production. Don't care about the figures other than General Grievous because I don't have him - have multiple of every other characters (can't even estimate how many Darth Vader figures I have at this point!) so I can put them on if I want to - but I find that figures on display sets actually detract from the display aesthetics. Most mini-figures are not actually that great to look at - they are after all designed primarily for kids to play with - whereas the display sets are not for play. For me, any figures I get in a set invariably just end up in a big box with all my other figures.
Mine are being delivered tomorrow. Price is the price, that’s the cost of being a Lego fan. But I agree, they need mini figures. Luckily I have extras sitting from other sets and I’m gonna use what you did and display them with mini figs
Finally someone did it! Thank you!😃
I would love to see more separatists ships in lego form like the providence or bulwark so many types of ships that collectors would easily preorder its just a matter of making the set to be produced
We need a Profundity (Admiral Raddus’s flagship) set next
The problem with the midi scale ships was that it is not a collection, they were one offs. But if they release more you can display them really well.
The planet series was soo cool at that time! I collect most of them. Great work, Lego.
these sets would’ve been the perfect opportunity to sort of give us the figures we would only see in a cmf without actually giving us a cmf. considering that when i eventually get these i’m going to be using figures to display it with i think they should have figures with them.
Echo your statements on the Falcon I’m done with that design now too. I’d love to see the Nebulon B come back, it’s my favourite design from all the OT ships. What about other Mon Calamari designs though like Home One or the ship from Rogue One? So many options and they did *another* Falcon lol. The Tantive sadly looks a little basic but it’s cool to see a CIS ship!
Agreed. But the prices are nuts. Lego is overcharging general consumers in their hunt for the rich people 18+ market
Just recently got back into lego with the invisible hand set. Thought the exact same thing about the lack of a minifig so I bought a grievous figure to go with it
I love mini scale builds like this but the whole video I was wondering if they would come with a minifigure, it’s not the end of the world to exclude them but I think for just display purposes it would be really nice to have just one per set
Funny enough, when the Millennium Falcon released, I immediately replaced the 25th anniversary brick for Han Solo. 😂
I’m still iffy in the Invisible Hand. A Count Dooku though woulda made it a day one buy.
I also wish these starships came with minifigs. Glad I have Han Solo from the Millennium Falcon Microfighter and Chewbacca from the recent Christmas set that came out last year to go with this new Millennium Falcon.
As someone not particularly interested in this line of sets, I'm torn on including a figure. On one hand, it would be nice, but on the other hand I think it very much limits what ships can be made. Take the Invisible Hand for instance, if this line were to include a figure in each set, then all the pieces for General Grevious would need to be brought back after not having been in production since 2021. Because of the nature of the figure, it would inflate the price quite a bit. Additionally, for potential ships in this line like a Venator, Luserhulk, or Mon Calamari Cruiser, a new figure would need to be made. I really don't see Lego making a new figure and using up alloted prints on it rather than using it for some printed pieces on the actual ship, so cool ideas for ships would not get made. In the end, it would just end up with getting figures that came in other sets as the bonus figure in question (look at the Captain America's shield or Thor's hammer, both came with figures that were not exclusive, albeit the Thor figure did debut in the hammer.) Figures would be neat bonuses but in my opinion, I think they are simply not fit for this line of sets
I can't wait to get the Invisible Hand set, I didn't get to preorder it but I'll try to see if I can get it on Amazon tomorrow. And yeah I agree that would be cool if we got at least one minifigure with these sets. Grievous is a no brainer for the Invisible Hand.
I am so in the middle about these three sets... I got the Nebulon-B Frigate set last November for an eye watering price on eBay as I wanted it quite badly for years (I love that ship). And I do plan on getting the Super Star Destroyer one as well, but I just don't find these three ships that appealing, The Invisible Hand probably I do as it has never been made into a LEGO set before. But when the minifigures were added to the stands, it just lit the set up perfectly! I deffinetly would be more inclined to buy these three if they came with one minifigure corresponding to the ship. And I already have the Tantive IV & Millenium Falcon as UCS sets.
I ended up pre ordering all 3 on Ja. 30th because i was so excited. I wont ever get the Nebulon frigate but since the Super Star Destroyer is still on shelves, i may go pick one up
Can't wait to get them!
I agree one figure would be great such as Nien Nunb for the Falcon.
I’m interested to see what all will go in this line. I feel like there’s a risk of running out of mid to capital ships quickly and some are hard to translate to LEGO (Queen’s Starship and anything of Mon Calamari design for instance). Although Jabba’s sail barge and Dryden Vos’ Ship would look good at this scale
I splurged and preordered the Falcon + purchased the Royal Ornithopter (Dune) and I really don't know if I should just keep them boxed for a future flip or enjoy my splurge and build them out. That being said, midi-scale is my favorite scale...so perfect for office/desk displays.
@CheeseDanish85
Ай бұрын
Screw flipping. You ain't gonna get rich off lego's man... so enjoy them. The ornithopter is a fun, challenging build, and looks god damn gorgeous. It's the kinda set you feel REALLY happy about having built.
I can only hope high demand for the invisible hand means we'll get a larger scale one in the future. I could readily see this as an excellent $150-$250 large playscale set. If there is ever a UCS version, I'm kind of hoping it's around half the size of the venator but with neat internal details taking notes from the Razor Crest; the UCS venator is far too big, imo, and the lack of any neat interior lessens its appeal to me as a collector item because collector items are all about detail, and since lego is a building toy, internal details actually matter since how it's built is just as important to how it looks. I'm not too beat up over the lack of figures; they'd be nice, sure, but I'd have a much harder time justifying an extra $10 or more just for the added on figure. Figures to me are an important part of playsets and master builder sets, as they help bring an extra level of interactivity and "life" to a set, but they're not a big deal for display-oriented sets.
I bought the invisible hand, iv wanted this ship since I was a kid, so thank you, Lego, for finally making the invisible hand.
I would be so stoked to see a Hammerhead Corvette in this scale!

Exactly, I don't get how everyone gets 'frustrated' by the fact a starship collection does not include minifigs ffs.
The fact this has the first invincible hand blows my mind it feels like an obvious play set scale Though I think a UCS set to mirror the venator would be awesome since we are in dire need for more Also a CIS HMP droid gunship to mirror the LAAT
I totally agree with you and the fact these sets don’t come with a minifig or pair in the case of the Millennium Falcon (given the price) it’s a pass for me.
I loved the planet series back then still have all 12 sets on display. However while these midi scale ships are beautiful, the lack of a minifigure and the usage of stickers can't justify the price.
I bought the microfighters. They are small, cheap, super cute, and come with a minifig!
Awesome video they look great all next to eachother 🎉 thanks for sharing!
Agreed! Minifigures should have come with the Starship collection! When the Midiscale Executor turned up I added a Darth Vader and have subsequently added Capt Antilles to the Tantive IV. My plan is to add a Gen Grievous to the Invisible Hand and a Han Solo and Chewbacca to the Falcon. LEGO could have included a minifigure for each at minimal extra cost thus improving sales.
I'm not really seeing a reason why a fig needs to be included. Yes it would be nice as if it were a ucs set. But then the scalper problem would arise. They'd be opened, the figs ripped out and then resold separately. Let's not forget that Lego would be charging the customer even more foe the sets. It's wishful thinking to think the sets would stay the same price. The falcon and tantive are already overpriced. The issue that I have is stickers. They should not be putting stickers in sets valued and sold at over $50 in my opinion, it feels lazy and scammy. No other midi scale set has ever had a figure go with it
I'd buy them if they were half the price and came with new or rare minifigs. The tantive could have a trans-light-blue princess Leia as the hologram she stores into r2 The invisible hand could come with grievous himself. And the falcon could perhaps have a L3-37. Since that's the navigator inside it.
I ordered and have sitting on my kitchen table both the falcon and the Tantive IV I bought online fom K-Mart here in Australia and I woke up at 3am this morning to order the Invisible hand from David Jones which is the only retailer here in Australia that has it and that is on it''s way to me and I should have it this coming monday I will be on holidays from work at the end of next week so I'll have some Lego to build to keep me entertained
6:10 we see the providence class in TCW yes but never there Invisible Hand specifically
These all look so good
I just use my existing figs, Han for my Falcon, Vader for my executor, etc. My friends buy cheap off-hand figs because *it's on a shelf, you won't see it up close anyway*
Thanks for the review. My Tantive IV arrives Monday -- and you never have too many Tantive IV's! Oh and how is the Executor model evil?
only one i got was the falcon and my only problem with it was that the first set of stud characters had one that was nearly impossible to discerne due to being colorblind. it was three studs stacked up that all appeared like the exact same color to me
I was 100% convinced you were going to say that the problem was 'scale'. In that they are all completely different scales from each other. To me, I'd want to make a fleets (Republic, Imperial etc) out of these, and it just doesn't work when the scale between them is all over the place. Personally, I don't miss the mini in these sets.
Cool stuff
Completely agree on the figs front, good sets but lacking that little extra for the price point.
@Criner05

The minifigures would increase the price.
For "midi-scale", I do believe minifigures can or should be included. At least one that indeed matches the associate commander or captain. Admiral Piett (Executor), Captain Antilles (Tantive IV). Heck, if they make Home One without Ackbar, this is gonna be a missed opportunity. A Midi-Scale TIE Advanced focusing on the details rather play function would be something I would purchase if it does include Vader (or not, since I love the TIE Advanced). Imagine the Endor Speeder Bike without Paploo. Now that would be a controversy. The NES and TV set doesn't include a regular minifig so a case can be made. But Star Wars needs its characters.
These sets may allow for some of the more niche ships getting sets. Im personally hoping for a Midi-Scale Mantis from The Jedi Games.
I totally agree with you the lack of minifigures kinda turns me off them that being said I'll probably still buy them but I do want minifigures
I thing with the cockpit being that small is accurate to the ship in universe. It’s just over time LEGO made the cockpit oversized which made this time they made it seem small
If the retail price was $5 more per ship and came with one notable character and one notable trooper or droid, so you could display them on each side of the stand, these sets would go from being great to legendary.
The falcon is straight up just excellent. one of the best sets ina long time.
I think LEGO is finally waking up and realizing the want that fans have for the prequel era. They've released an AT-TE, Corasaunt Guard Gunship, 3 clone battle packs(including the super battle pack), the midi invisible hand(which needs to have a UCS version) and a UCS Venator
nice exhaust pun 🤣
Hot take here, but I honestly like having a place to put my extra figures from other sets. Otherwise I just have no where to put them. I'm only getting sets as displays, not all of which are UCS. But I have a Leia hanging around for example, so now I want to get the Tantive IV to have a better place for her.
I have the Tantive IV and the stickers are a bit annoying. Otherwise I REALLY love the look of this thing on my desk. Fun build too. The engine details are so good IMO
‘looks at the invisible hand’ take my money
If these came with a single figure I would definitely pick them up. The builds are cool but the absence of a figure makes me want to hold for other purchases
While I think having a minifigure would look great displayed with them. I have even been debating on trying to get an Admiral Piett to display with my Executor. I can understand why they might not include one. People would buy the set just for the figure, and it would likely also bump up the price of the sets for those who just want a nice looking model.
Next year is the 20th anniversary of ROTS and the 10th anniversary of TFA so maybe we get a Medi-Scale Venator, Lucrehulk and Resurgence Stardestroyer
