What i find weirder than Link opening the Temple of Time door with the Champion's Tunic is how in 0:50 Link, with the Champion's Tunic, jumps from the sky island while the cloud barrier from the start of the game is seemingly still present. I wonder if they did that only to not show too much of the map or if the game actually worked like that at some point.

A few weeks ago, I finally decided to do a playthrough of BOTW 5 years after it came out, It's the best Zelda game I've ever played and it has been such a fun experience down to the exploration, the interactions, the combat, the story, I loved so much of it. I'm glad I played it and now I'm excited for this new release. Been playing The Legend of Zelda games since I was around 9 years old and now I'm 23 and I still love the franchise from the bottom of my heart ❤

Interesting contrast with the previous game's title. From the wild back to the kingdom. Skydiving stuff looks sick too, I love the concept of sky islands so I hope there's a good amount of them.

Tbh this will probably be the best game I have ever played.

1:03 Trailer's showed us a technique we can do without actually telling us we can do it. At first it just look like just landed on the wing. No explanation. In reality he opened up the menu and used a wing. And it spawned just Beneath him.

I'm glad travelling between the sky zones and Hyrule is seamless One of the things I adore about Hyrule Castle in BOTW is that, unlike the Divine Beasts, you can enter and exit the dungeon from almost everywhere without a single loading screen

imagine if all the dungeons in TotK have a similar mechanism of them being available to enter like that once you have the abilities to reach them (whether it's by having proper items or equipment or by unlocking seals, etc), and you explore them with increasing freedom as you solve puzzle and battle enemies, basically them being seamlessly embedded into the environment... aaaaaaaaah whatever it ends up being, one thing is sure, this game is gonna be awesome!!!!

@@gamerboy7962 Skyward Sword was pretty incredible. I had gotten burned out from the franchise years ago and didn't intend to get TLOZSS. I watched a couple videos on it, thought I'd give it a try, and man. It really was one of the best games I ever played, and it probably is my favorite one honestly. I'm glad that the franchise is still kicking and that millions all over the world who are young and?or new to gaming get to experience something as captivating as Zelda.

The dragons around the logo resemble the dragon statues from the Zonai ruins in Breath of the Wild. We've speculated for so long about the Zonai, I never thought it would become something bigger.

@@JCshorty619 I guess it's the first thing. Also, I read a theory that says that the title it's because of the death of Princess Zelda. She will die at the beginning of the game and that's the reason she doesn't appear in this trailer. Also, Aonuma says they didn't reveal the name last year because of spoilers about the plot, so I guess it makes sense? (Sorry if i made any spelling mistake, still getting use to write in English lol)

When I started living van life in 2021 I bought myself a switch and breath of the wild. I spent so much time and had so much fun on that damn game. Now I am less than a year from concluding my adventure and I plan on tears of the kingdom being my final switch game on the road. My adventure bookended by Zelda games. I know I'll remember these games for reasons other than how incredible they are.

I hadn't thought of using rewind on the falling sky pieces... I need to remember to try that skill more often than I do.

Tears of the Kingdom is such a cool name. Happy we finally got a release date.

That’s what I was just thinking. I haven’t watched the trailer since its release, but I realized the map looks similar and a tiny part of me got scared that here won’t be as much exploration (besides the floating continents above). I’m sure my anxieties will feel silly by time of release since they’ve been working on this for 5 years, I just hope it’s as good as we’re hoping it to be

@@user-xh6jx9kl6w It needs to be noted that this is my first time experiencing the release of a Zelda game, as I didn't get a Switch until late 2020 and didn't even buy BOTW until over a year after that, so I'm a baby when it comes to my fandom, and I don’t know what the hype felt like when BOTW came out. That said, I watched the trailer 10 times in a row (I'm obsessed with the music at the end, especially the backwards voices) and feel like I've sat with it long enough to pick up on a lot of things. The first watch through, I felt disappointed because I saw Hateno Village looking essentially the same and realized there may not be the level of exploration I had in my experience with BOTW. I know that's why a lot of people loved BOTW - how open world it was and the excitement of discovering a new region - and I'm definitely in that category. I was underwhelmed by the monsters I saw because a lot of them looked like they had derpy hats or horns on them. It took several watch-throughs to see that there were indeed new enemies I'd missed, so for those I'm excited. The underground region looks cool af and I hope the underground world is essentially as expansive and explorative as upper Hyrule. The car made me laugh, the air balloon was interesting, but it's obviously hard for me to not compare what little knowledge I have of it to the breadth of knowledge I have about BOTW. In the end, I'm ecstatic and love how dark it looks, love the Ganon VO, love the speculation around how Ganon reincarnates. Sorry for my diatribe lol

@@skyriotAndKadeGaming Yeah, I feel kinda the same ^ I would have preferred a brand new world entirely because I love the exploration in BOTW the most. BOTW is the first kind of game of its type I've ever played - I'm more of a Stardew/Animal Crossing kind of gamer - and I've grown to enjoy combat as I learn how to play it right. But the best feelings have been stumbling across new little worlds I didn't know existed, like Korok Forest. I genuinely had no idea what I was walking into (BOTW is my first Zelda game), or when I finally found Goron City after searching for days, or how daring I felt exploring Hyrule Castle before having defeated all of the Divine Beasts, only to stumble upon Ganon accidentally and defeating him my first try (that was a RUSH of emotions, and I will never forget how incredible that felt, I was in tears). So yeah, all of that being said, I hope they surprise us big time, and part of me hopes it's even better than BOTW.

I finally got the game.

Despite the trailer not showing too much gameplay, this truly does look like a BotW sequel and not just the same game with added elements. That glider looks like it would be amazing to use to reach distant areas. I can't wait to play this game and more of this beautiful world!

Idk, from what I'm seeing in all the gameplay trailers they haven't really exemplified that there's a lot different besides some time mechanics and sky islands added to the BOTW world. I'm SURE that the game is in reality way way way bigger in scope than that so I'm talking purely from a trailer standpoint.

I can't wait for this game! I just started playing Breath of the Wild late last year and I'm about to complete the game. I grew up with Zelda from the Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, etc. Beautiful games and my nephews are now into Zelda as well. It's a pretty cool experience to be able to play these games together and see the progress over the years. I hope I get to see this franchise of games until my 50s and 60s.

I’m gonna miss spending all my time with this game. Hopefully I’ll be able to get the Link amiibo to commemorate my accomplishment for finishing the game.

0:33 if you cross reference this with the Ganondorf mural in the Final Trailer it matches up perfectly. Depicting Ganondorf holding that figure.

My love of Zelda started with Wind Waker on my game cube, briefly seeing Ocarina of Time and Skyward Sword played by my cousins. I’ve now been playing with Breath of The Wild for a couple years and I am beyond excited for Tears of The Kingdom 🥲

I think Breath of the Wild just clicked with me. I'm wandering, climbing and gliding through that game and I finally feel the open world. Can't believe I don't have to wait years for a sequel to arrive

The part with Link opening that giant corridor is what gets me hyped even more. And that device he was flying on is also giving me a hint that there’s going to be another or more Divine Beasts we will see. It really looks like Link is jumping out of a cargo plane and then just going into war like a boss.

I was a giant zelda fan, but the series died for me with breath of the wild. It feels like every other open world game, before that it was such a unique game. Majoras Mask, OOT and Twillight Princess were brillant games.

This game is so cool.

When he's riding the stone up into the air, it looks kind of like the time reversal mechanic from the previous trailer. Maybe you'll have to find chunks that fell off the islands and reverse their fall to get up to the islands.

I'm gonna guess that time reversal is going to be a major mechanic. My prediction is some major catastrophe hits the kingdom, and you have to manipulate time between past and present to restore things

I know, right? I'm planning to pre-order it, because I'm a lifelong fan of the Zelda game (the first game I ever played was one), and I can tell that this one is definitely going to sell out FAST. I mean, I haven't seen this much hype since Animal Crossing New Horizons and Doom Eternal came out on the same day! And the LoZ fandom is no small-time fandom.

Recently started playing Breath of the Wild again in preparation for this game coming this year...man I imagine it's going to be even better and I already had a ridiculous amount of fun with the first one...can't wait!

Crazy how this series has (for the most part) remained consistently fantastic and fun even after decades of releases.

@@ADUSN in fairness Swkyward Sword was on the failed Wii U, so many didn't play it, so you can't expect Skyward Sword HD to do great in sales when Wii U was such a massive failure.

I can't believe the subtitles actually include "[Link] -Hyup!"

The thing that caught my attention the most in the trailer is the bird shaped glider thing Link lands on at the end, it looks like an ancient flying machine, one that isn't two metal minecarts that is

From the second of hearing those music notes, my heart skipped a beat. And seeing everything else that came after, I became even more excited for this game, which I didn't even think would be possible.

After beating the game and coming back here I realized so many things, such as the music in the beginning being the depths theme

At 0:42,that's when I heard The Open Theme Soundtrack,for the very first time!Cool!

this is why i will always love the zelda franchise. they never rush things, they take their time to make them all enjoyable.

today was the final trailer i can already see the similarities in some characters and the people in this damn

I didn't even think to reverse time on the falling debris to fly up.

The 25 second point of this wonderful trailer I counted 7 "emblems" around a character which gives me hope for traditional dungeons in this game. Very exciting.

I also noticed the 7 emblems and immediately thought of the 7 sages that sealed the evil power in Ocarina of Time and 7 dungeons correlating to these sages.

The music in this trailer was beautiful, really hits an emotional place.

I bought a Switch about a month ago with the intention of playing MK8 and I bought Odyssey and Breath of the Wild as well. I had not played a Zelda game previously and didn't know if I would enjoy it. Well, I have barely touched MK and Odyssey because I'm obsessed with botw, it's easily one of my favourite games of all time now. I'm super excited to play TotK when it releases.

I will never tire of the Breath of the Wild art style. It is so timeless and beautiful. Beyond excited for this!

@Andrew Muprhy i didnt realize till recently, but i think "Tears" will be actual items we collect in the game. As we saw from one of the teasers earlier this past year, the master sword has been destroyed and link was near a golden light trying to repair it. There might be seven tears across hyrule we need to collect to fully restore the master sword. So the title actually might have to do with in game plot which they wanted to keep spoiler free.

I am so excited for this game! I love Breath of the Wild and am so excited for this sequel. Thank you Nintendo for making this delaying this game to make it as good as possible.

How? BOTW wasn't nearly as good as Ocarina of time and Majora's Mask. Even Twilight Princess is quite a level above BOTW in terms of storytelling/directing/gameplay. And Skyward Sword was just atrocious.

I didn't get a lot from this direct, but this is easily one of my most anticipated games. Edit: It less the farming games, though as somone not interested in the genre it certainly didn't help, and more the amount of times I said "Why was this not available at launch!?"

I don't know who they are but am happy to learn in this game i got half way into skyward sword. I might watch some videos on them to see who they are. I'm super hyped to see more of ganondorf and seems like the intro to this game could be similar to elden ring but much more epic like the way he opened the door but i could be reaching there lol

I’m playing The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild on the Nintendo Switch Lite and it’s absolutely a beautiful experience. I’m a huge Zelda fan and the last Zelda game I played was Zelda Ocarina of Time back on the N64 everything about Zelda is a 10/10❤

I'm so pumped for this game. I was worried that the sky islands would sacrifice the "open worldness" of BOTW, but I think this has alleviated my fears. Looks so good!

You know, after going through and playing skyward sword, there are a lot of references and similarities between the two games. But I think the biggest clue about the story may be the rising castle. Wasn’t the original demise demon from skyward sword (aka the demon that would eventually become calamity Gannon) originally crushed under the castle itself?

It was crushed under Sky Keep and the Goddess Statue on top, the castle didnt exist back then. We do see the remnants of the sealed grounds in BOTW, but it's near Hebra and the top corner of the map, not the castle. However, Demise did come from a rift in the ground according to the introduction of the game, and this is definitely a parallel to that. However, the more direct comparison to make with this is from BOTW itself, not Skyward Sword: In the King Rhoam III cutscene where he explains what happened 100 years ago, he tells us that Ganon came from underneath the castle.

This game releases literally one day after my birthday. The timing is incredible. I’m certain that this is gonna be one of the most special birthday experiences ever. This game’s going to be a BLAST to play, so excited!!!
