I remember getting this game for my birthday in 1987 or 88.... twice. I had my mom return one copy to get another game with my dumb @ss 😂 I should have kept the other one sealed and stored away. Would have been worth so much now.

At 6:17, why does he take no damage at all? I know the body does a different amount of damage, but he took no damage; he even preserved his beam sword.

Actually, he took 0.375 hearts of damage. Everything in this game does damage as a multiple of 0.5 hearts EXCEPT attached gleeok heads. The UI only shows health decreases in 0.5 heart increments, and you need to take that much damage to lose beam sword. I don't remember if the 0.375 heart damage impacts the triforce health refill time though.

Yeah ALttP also has a thing where if you get hit by a very weak enemy you take damage so small it doesn't register on screen and you get to keep your beams.

Does the Large shield count as an item ?

Guess not. Maybe the rule is only items that cannot be lost. E.g., if there was a way to skip Grumble-Grumble, maybe the meat would also be optional.

It's a consumable, because you can lose it to a LikeLike. Hence, it is not required in 100%.

100% doesn't include the 9 maps, 9 compasses, or the Magical Shield. They don't include the shield because it is expendable and repurchase-able (like bombs, which are also not technically required). They can be taken by a like like, and can be purchased again. The 100% Plus category requires the 9 maps, 9 compasses, and the Magical Shield.

It changed from Glitchless to 100% with glitches because an incentive was met

The donation incentive was met which changed it from glitchless category to the 100% category

They don't require the magical shield nor the maps or compassesfor 100% however they are required for the category 100% plus @@____chris

Not collecting the white sword or wooden/magical boomerang and whatnot, is not completing it 100%. 100% completion is collecting everything, including the white sword, magical sword, letter to the old lady for medicine, ect., that is 100% completion. What you are playing here is NOT 100% completion and anyone else that says differently, needs to go back to basic math class in elementary school. So by not collecting said items, you are only completing this game 98%, 99% at best. So if this run is going to be recorded in a book or whatever, it should not be in the 100% completion section.
