I admit, I am kinda conflicted, because they changed the much cooler looking beam cannons for these generic blaster bolts, and the new ship designs I will have to grow into, I guess. But hey, Im happy this finally gets some attention. Everything else seems fine so far.

Not really...? Their depiction of the Neutron Beam Cannons are somewhat scientifically accurate, only minus the sound in space.

​@@Josua070 and honestly some things are VASTLY improved from a writing standpoint, such as episode 1, it flows a lot better to have reinhart not know of yang only to reveal him at the end. It makes for a good twist at the end.

So, this i remake or an alternative version? If is the second one I want just one thing, keep Kircheis alive, just for diference.

The subtitle in this is better than Crunchyrolls

I do not like the new voices. Reinhard was supposed to sound like a prince but he is too aggressive now.

He did, but this character in the video is too much like Light Yagami. Reihard is elegant. Besides, his original voice actor is still alive (he also plays Vegeta), they should have used him.

Indeed Horikawa had a princely voice suited to Reinhard's character, Miyano is great but a misfit

The voice actors Mamoro Miyano and Kenichi Suzumura are some of the most famous voice actors right now. There's no way you haven't heard their voices in animes before. Especially, Mamoru, cause he voiced Light Yagami for instance. I recognized their voices in seconds.

The tone in which they speak is just so uniform and monotonous. It's almost like the contemporary male voice actors all had the same voice coach. For example, in the original you'd be able to tell Oberstein apart from Wittenfeld, given the one has a very cold monotonous tone, while the other one is wild and lively, with different accents as well.

Waldemar It's a 90 second trailer. We haven't even gotten the chance yet to hear them speak in different situations.

Personally I found their voices rather similar to the original anime and as far as the delivery of the lines, in the original when conducting fleet battles everything was very monotone and structured in how they spoke to one another even in the original. Sure Reinhard was a little flamboyant but you see none of this in the trailer because none of those scenes were present in the trailer. Give the new version a chance before you shoot it down :)

@@HannahNguyen1995 Now that you've had the chance to watch it entirely, They are great but clear misfits, esp Miyano, not only he has never done a role like Reinhard but he doesn't capture the essence of the character like Horikawa did either. And the direction of VAing in DNT is in general different than the OVA, it's poor. Everyone sounds stiff and Monotonous most of times or just ridiculously melodramatic when not needed.
