The Ledge at Wheeling in the Country is one of the most popular obstacles at the park. It always draws large crowds and it is usually filled with muddy water. It's always fun watching all of the different rig attack the ledge.
This park is located in Summertown TN.

notice how when he idled up there he got much further... there's a reason that there's lo range and crawl ratios... but that being said, burning tires are fun too.

They probably have to change tires more often than they have to do an oil change.

If you pay attention, when a lot of these guys stop making forward progress, they will heat those tires up good, back off for a second and then jump over whatever was stopping them.

Excuse my ignorance, but why is the guy at 1:54 doing a burnout? Is there something to be gained from doing this? As far as I can tell he just wants to burn his tyres up, he clearly is getting nowhere..

My dad used to run a shop in Columbia Tennessee back in the late 90s early 2000s, he was one of the first to do it. Xtreme 4×4 Columbia Tennessee. He knows the owner of wheelin in the country and actually helped create most of the trails there.

MadRam11 You're welcome, I came for the frames and suspension, no complaints there! Just don't see the fun in putting so much time, money, and effort into a sport where success is 99% "lucky bounce" and damage is 99% likely. Maybe this Ledge "event" is for those special hardcore types. :-)

gwkdad obviously its because its an event jackass, thats the diffrence between rock bouncing and rock crawling, crawling is for your average joe who doesnt have thousands of dollers to put into his rig all the time. its like formula offroad but just on diffrent terrain, you dont gotta hate man, its pushing these amaizing machines weve created to their limit and seeing how far they go

Soulception i always thought this wasnt really an event, till i went to one out near coal creek. These videos dont do justice for the steepness of this rock faces. no way would my jeep wven come close to getting up. The guys who enter these mean business, there rigs are top end machines, hell one guy has more in rims and tires than i do in my whole jeep. Dont let the trolls troll ya. Pedal down my friend.
