Nice display. Captcorajus. It brings back some memories. You see the crystal reminds me of the design of my Nana and Papa's artificial fireplace back when my family used to see it in use every year at Christmas.

Hey Capt!! I have the same one and want to upgrade the LED light but scared to pop off the acrylic flame by prying. Any tips for removing it? Thanks. You’re the best!!

Only thing I can say is that you need a thin putty knife and just carefully wriggle it back and forth. Mine actually did break in two, but the plastic is such that it was super easy to just crazy glue it back together and you can't even tell. Other than carefully applied brute force I don't have any other suggestion, sorry!

Ok. How hard is it to remove the flame without breaking it, and will I need to modify it further for the led placement?

Warning.. its a bit tricky. I brute forced it with a flat head screwdriver. While I tried to be careful, I did break the flame in two, but it was easily fixed with crazy glue and isn't at all noticeable. There is already a decent sized hold there for the existing LED wires, and I just pulled out all of that, and used my dremel tool to widen the hole big enough to support the LED assembly. the flame bowl is hollow, so I stuffed it with newspaper and added some cardboard to provide a flat even surface. I painted the entire thing, use a bit of green stuff putty to solidify the hole. It was very easy to do.

I watched the Superbowl last night but I'm afraid I wasn't paying attention. Not because I didn't care about the game. It's just that my mind was flighty. I was impartial to which team should win. Not because I was disrespecting the game. I just didn't know who I liked. I mostly just watch sports during the Superbowl, and seldom else. Though I have gotten into pro wrestling. Did you enjoy the game, Captain?
