Ah. So good to see your new digs. I ordered the Lectionary Bible as soon as the leatherette volume became available, and it is as convenient as you say. I'd shamelessly advetise my video about it but KZread would delete my comment. BTW. St Herman of Alaska has the best 'coffee hours' I have yet found.

Love your realist personality! Unfortunately the church has many 'holier than thou' types that present themselves as the 'spoke person' of all the church. I love when I find other Orthodox Christians that actually keep it real and acknowledge the brutal truths. I just started watching but I will be a consistent viewer. I love your work... Thank you for putting this up! I am getting the two books for my husband. We have been inquiring in The Orthodox Church for over a year, and you helped me get my first prayer book and putting up my prayer corner! My lectionary bible was ordered on Monday and arrived right after I got home on Saturday morning after the Feast, when I could have actually used it for the first time😅. When I opened it the first time I was actually very confused, much like my experience with the Anthologion. I’m still in a joyful sense of confusion. I’m pretty sure I’ve set the ribbons up accordingly but I’d love to see them make videos for its usage like they did with the Anthologion. I’m glad you incited me to buy this!

I used the lectionary Bible last week at my GOARCH parish. I have to say that I love it. The translation is a bit in the wonkier side in comparison to what I’m used to in the RSV/KJV, but it’s getting the job done in following along with the gist of the proclaimed readings. But you know what Raphael, it’s growing on me.

Between you and Dale Caldwell, I am convinced that I need to purchase the Lectionary Bible, which works with the Anthologion, and apparently with the Publicans Prayer Book and the classic Byzantine Daily Prayer, since it seems the readings as the same for the feasts in both Orthodox and Eastern Catholic books. I'm a new Catechumen and bought the lectionary Bible. I am struggling with how to use it. Is there any chance you will do a deep dive on how to use it.

St. Spyridon's in Loveland has the best coffee. They have "regular" and "extra strong". I'd like to get the lectionary bible, but then I'd miss the "choose your own adventure" feel of going through the rubrics of Anthologians and Diurnals and Kathismas etc. I like scrambling through the church calender, figuring out the tone, aligning the moon phase to stonehenge and finding what I'm supposed to read for the day. 😂 Seriously, I'd like to purchase one. God made dirt Dirt don't hurt.

Excellent work! I really appreciate how enthusiastic you are. I have a few questions: what translation is used? When you say it’s not as comprehensive, what does that mean? Is this meant for use by laity only in Divine Liturgy or does it include the Holy Hours? Is it arranged by the calendar or is it arranged in the order of the books in Scripture? Is it approved by a particular jurisdiction or can this be used by the faithful in other jurisdictions? Thanks!

I have a lot to learn as a new convert, so I have questions: - If this is for every day of the year then does it list OT readings also, even though they are not in there? - Which translation does it use (that's something I've wondered about when listening to readings at Divine Liturgy) I just spent over a month shopping for a new bible with just the right text and paper and references and colors lol. I'm very happy with my purchase. I can actually read now (my old-ish eyes do not like the OSB's pages. ) so here I go again with another purchase!

As someone who usually makes coffee at the Church that i attend, I know -- almost to the gram -- precisely how much to put in, and how many grams will get complaints of "too weak" or "too strong". Furthermore, if I can predict who will likely stay afterwards, I also know whether to raise or lower the strength (we have two camps: one camp likes coffee that is weak, and the other who would probably drink the coffee beans themselves if they could; I'm the latter type).

First I would like to thank for reviews. I have a question, I’m a “ orthodox, Anglican” better, understood as conservative, a part of the Anglican church in North America. My question is do any of the orthodox prayer books have a lectionary incorporated into the book itself, anglicans use the book of common prayer, 1662, 1928, 2019 , etc, all have a lectionary and Psalter. I’ve been wanting to to get one of the many Orthodox pray books but was sure if any of them had a lectionary???
