@27:48 Please do note that St. Peters Basilica is not a Cathedral but one of the 4 major Basilicas in Rome along with St. Mary Major, St . Pauls outside the walls and St . John Lateran. The Arch Basilica of St. John Lateran is the Mother church of the catholic church as it is the Cathedral of Rome that houses the throne of the bishop of Rome i.e the pope. St Peters is the largest church in christendom and inside Vatican thats why all major papal functions take place there. It is not the mother church of Catholic church or a cathedral. it is Arch Basilica of St. John Lateran which is outside Vatican in Rome.
