I been following you for about 1 year now and I think this was the best shave you ever done. I really like the DSC Club. What I like about this video is you used shaving foam. Yes I know you get a better shave with a brush and soap, but I don't always have time for that, also I drive a truck and it just takes to long to use a brush and clean the brush, then store it to air dry and not get damaged. I use Gillette shave foam and I really get just as good a shave. I know I sinned by saying that. Butt it is true. I just ordered my twig about 5 minutes ago and can't wait to try it out. I probably won't stop using DSC totally, hey I have got some great customer service out of them. Thanks for the great videos.

Great review! Just received my TWIG in the mail today and used for first time this evening on 4 day growth..... Guess what guys, first of all you don’t really need the little stand as yourTwig stands on its own. The other thing is this razor mowed down my beard growth like knife through butter. One of the smoothest shaves I have ever experienced, (and that was using the razor provided in my order)!! Can’t wait till I break out a Feather or Astra. I give it a “Must buy”.

Used my twig today for the first time. Got it on the Kickstarter. Fantastic Razor. The razor finds the angle and it is so smooth and cut through my coarse 3/4 day growth no problem. Adam from leaf asked if I wanted a slightly more aggressive twig so the blade gap is slightly bigger then the one being sold😉😉. Was using the Executive shaving outlaw de razor which is another great shaver but the twig is just as good. The twig is lovely razor to shave with. Effortless and very smooth.

Harry's Shave Gel and Duke Cannon Ice Cold Aftershave? Haha. Anyways, what a great shave! Just bought my first DE razor last week while looking for King C Gillette products at Walmart. Gotta get a good technique down! Ordered some Derby blades. Wasn't a huge fan on the VDH blades but that could be because I'm not a "pro" yet. Hard to go off reviews on all these blades because everyone's face is different so I decided to give the Debrys a try. We'll see! Definitely will keep this Leaf razor in mind. This shave makes me want to buy one! Best shaving channel out there, brah! Thank you!

I have a leaf twig razor prism color and I love it .you have to take your time with it it’s awesome. Got rid of cartridges and refills also the electric shaver. This does way better and comes out way way way cheaper the blades.

I started thinking about going back to "old school" shaving as it was when I first started shaving (damn a long time ago). Not due to influences regarding plastic, clean shaves, etc....NO Brah, it was because I got tired of spending $$ and throwing it all away! Planned obsolescence is their game. Forget about it I finally said. Since then, for over a year I have been thinking about how to #1: get a great shave #2: not throwing plastic away #3: saving money and the planet. Thanks to yours and a number of others out there that give fair, honest, no holds barred critiques, I ordered the Twig. Before that I got myself an immaculate old Schick G-8 injector which proved to me how much better a shave I can get going old school. Problem with that is it is getting somewhat hard to find injector blades these days. Very, very few make them. Your videos are not only entertaining, but informative. Thanks and look forward to my new Twig when it gets here. Apologize for the lengthy note....

I've used a DE for years. Have a great Merkur. The Leaf SE is similar to a DE, except the guard makes it more forgiving to slips. The blade lasts just as long as one side of a DE (4-5 shaves for an 3-4 day stubble). I actually like this better than my DE. Also, you will want to use a similar light hand as you would with a DE. Hope this helps buddy.

You love Duke Cannon so , aftershave is Duke Cannon and shaving foam seems like a regular one cuz if it had scent , you'd give it away

I received my Twig razor two days ago. I used an Astra blade since I had already broke it in half and I didn't notice they would send a few of theirs with the razor. I think it gave me a pretty good shave. Only negative thing was I had to fool with the head a little to get it to sit even on the blade. At least the one I received when I screwed the head down on to the blade it was not sitting straight across the blade. So I had to hold the head so that it came down even across the blade. Normally I wash off the blade after each shave, but since I got it lined up I didn't mess with the razor when I finished. Since I only ordered the razor I went ahead and ordered the stand.

Sorry for the the delayed response. I used the LEAF blades which are on the milder side. Adam from LEAF said that if you’d like a more aggressive angle on the TWIG you can contact them for a more aggressive model.

The TWIG is pretty similar. LEAF also sells a more aggressive model called the THORN if that’s what you’re looking for. I believe it may be a special order on their website.

The only one that I can think of is the ONE BLADE core. LEAF also makes a Hybrid safety razor that pivots.

I asked them if they would consider making a pivoting Twig and they seemed open to the idea. Send them an email to let them know there's interest, I'd personally love one. I know DE enthusiasts scoff at pivots, but they really do help if you have a prominent chin/jaw.

I have this razor and I really like it, but the learning curve for me was pretty steep. I was cutting and nicking myself a lot at first. I decided to switch blades to see if that made a difference and that solved my problems immediately. The Leaf blades that come with this razor are horrible! Other than that it's great.

@@averageguytested I got a variety pack from Amazon. So far I've only tried the orange Asco blades but I have about 7 or 8 other kinds from Gillette to Derby to Feather that I'm going to try and see which one I like best. The Asco blades are a huge improvement for me over the leaf blades though.

Twig Razor, how long does the blade last? I have whiskers like Russian Mule, just kidding. I don't know if that's true. I have average whiskers, and shave about 2x a week. Here is what I have observed- Like a normal DE razor, it (Leaf SE razors) lasts 4-5 shaves.

Had one shipped to me. Thanks for recommendation. I am enjoying it. The handle is a bit short for my hands, but works just fine. I like it. So for me, I use the Twig primarily, but the Mach3 in between shaves for nose hairs, eyebrow grooming, and for getting really close to the nostrils. It is my perfect 1,2 combo. And have you tried the Cella Milano Shaving Cream Soap Almond, with a synthetic brush.

Been contemplating this new razor but after seeing reviews here and google, I’ll save my money for a 200 pack of Gillette de blades or Schlick injector blades; my classic Schlick and Gillette razors are by far surpass any new razor made in 3rd world countries; Gillette and Schlick razors of old are of a much better build quality and of solid brass to boot! Anyone else?

Not at all. Easy, smart design and smooth.

Looks weird, knurling is in the wrong direction, also there is no advantage in a single edge over a double edge whatsoever. The head design with the snapped side of the blade exposed is weird. I am always amazed at how new products bringing absolutely nothing keep being pushed.
