"Everything is echo of self" - elegant! This is a truth which cannot be understated. I used to think that truth was the most worthy and compelling principle. Then we got Trumped. Talking to people who cannot free themselves from lies, I learned that "the mind is all". Truth does not defeat lies or evil. Everyone concludes based on what they already think. When the maggots complain how bad everything is, I realize that this is projection speaking. When you are hate, you spew hate. When you are angry, you don't see any good. The perceptions come from within. So truth cannot defeat evil or lies. But we can rely on karma for that. This is how God gave us free will. If you don't choose good, you pay until you change or the consequences destroy you. You get exactly what you deserve, what you need, and what you pick. You have free will, but you are not free of the consequences. The golden rule is NOT "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". The rule is "as you do to others is done to you". This is why God gave us the second commandment: that we might live and not die. Hatred is a gun that shoots in reverse. Woe to you who pull the trigger. It is so simple and just. The wages of sin is death. Only what is good will ever prevail. Is that belief my echo of self? let's hope so! Love that phrase and monkey me will have to adopt it!

So sad to learn of Howard Finneman's passing. He seemed to be everywhere I was while getting my news and he always held my interest. Sad to see another fellow baby boomer exit this stage but he made an impact while here and that's something.

She says "national debt" but she means "federal deficit" ... and what she doesn't say is that there is a 1-to-1 accounting identity between the federal deficit and the growth of the private economy. Seen through this lens the problem is not "increasing the federal deficit"... the problem is handing the benefit of all that economic growth directly to the people that are already at the top of the wealth distribution. What is money any way, that rich people are always seeking to hoard it at levels that exceed human utility?

Being better off is not the criteria I would rely on. I believe in doing the right thing, always. That right and good thing is democracy. Monarchy is an affront to morality. It's what you get when you don't fight back. They called it the Divine Right of Kings. It's the same as autocracy, not different.

Actually, it isn't too late. Bear in mind that the 60-day rule doesn't apply here. They can still be scheduled for court within that 60-day window prior to the election. The indictment has been made, and that was the final roadblock that could have prevented this case from being heard within that 60-day window.
