The Last Tour Part IV- Everything Ages and Dies

This is the last part of the last tour before we go into the show room and play the last performance of The Rock-afire Explosion. So, in this episode, I show the Robinsons the rest of the basement as it is in the middle of packing everything up, and how we're collecting all the museum pieces together in the hopes that we will establish a Creative Engineering museum in our next life.
After this episode, there will be one more episode of The Robinson's Tour where I just shot the show as they watched.
I have never been as impressed with the mechanical longevity of The Rock-afire Explosion as I am right now. It seems like everything I am testing as I pack up, whether it is a tape deck, a cassette player, an amplifier, the fork lift, my stored cars, drills, air tools, hydraulic press, monitors, computers, disk drives, equalizers, video games, mixer boards, the garage door opener, the fluorescent lights, the copy machine, printers... EVERYTHING IS BROKEN! Everything, that is except my 100 year old elevator, my 40 year old lathe and milling machines, the air conditioner in my little kitchen, and my Rock-afire Explosion. Those are the things that work perfectly. Isn't that strange?
This whole move has been a slap in the face, awakening me as to how long it's been, how much time 45 years actually is, what can survive 45 years and what can't. Many of the people I knew have not survived. Most of the equipment I thought I would have and use forever has not survived.
But, my love for inventing has survived, and the enjoyment of sharing all of this has survived. If we get to build a museum, it will be a lot of fun. We'll force the Hard Luck Bears and the Wolf Pack 5 to survive. It will be more amazing than I used to think it would be to see these things rocking again, now that I know how everything ages and dies, except me, of course.

I wish I had done a tour when I had the chance, I would have loved to visit in person since it was so close by. I want to build animatronics and this content really stimulates my interest in robotics as a whole.

Aaron is obsessed with termite poop! He'll probably mold it into the next animatronic band or something! :-D HAHAHA! Just kidding! Love these videos. They really detail the past so well. Sad that Showbiz's hey-day was only around '82-'83 or so. We moved to Pasadena, CA in 1984 and we had a Showbiz there... I actually worked there... for a few days. But I couldn't stand the fact I was told to do different tasks, but never allowed to finish any of them before being told to go do something else. It drove me nuts! :-D

You should make a seperate channel for your animatronics! I would love to see them.
I love the idea of a CEI museum, after all too many animatronics have just gone and gotten junked over time throughout the world so to see a museum of them would be brilliant.
Yup. In the end,everything breaks down. Everything falls apart. I mean,look at Disney. No one thought that mega company could ever fail. And now,it's the most hated company in the world. It's bleeding money,the parks are a mess,and no one wants to see anything with the Disney brand. I'm just glad Walt didn't live long enough to see what they did to his dream. Even with careful curation,it'll last longer,but it doesn't last forever. So with that in mind,build for today. Build what you need. Leave behind the pretense of building something that will last forever and build something awesome for right now. If you can make it last,great. If not,well,it was better it existed for a while than never existed at all. You know,there was a video game released called Sunset Overdrive. One group you work with,the Oxfords,hole up in an kid's restaurant with an animatronic band. In a more recent game,Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart,you can find a miniature version of that band in the jukebox in a bar. And I thought to myself,that's be a great idea. A mini-Rockafire in a jukebox. I dunno,I think the idea might have legs. Or just a mini-Rockafire in general.
Kind of sad knowing nobody else can get a tour after this
the four oscilloscopes. as an electronic reparator i'm surprised by the amount of oscilloscope. 😂 i like it
Arron, the thing that i remember is when we went down in the basement and you pointed out the show selecter with lets go to veges and then you said "Hey look! its your song!"
I really hope the rockifire explosion will be able to preform after this tour

Not all of them. Most of them are going to a museum where he hopes they will be restored and on display. At least that is what I've gathered from these episodes
Aaron is there any chance of you keeping some new rockafire bots?and also do you have a extra billy bob because I want you to make a billy bob that looks like a cowboy with a cowboy hat bandana boots and a belt that two guns that a fale and plastic.no overalls just jeans a to top it all off.A jacket
This says it's the last tour what's going on with the warehouse, is he getting rid of it? Is he selling off all of his stuff?
If I could see anything you want to finish I would want to see the 2nd generation animatronics I want to see how fluently they both move especially dook
