Our creator sent prophets and messengers to mankind throughout history to guide them to the straight path, Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and the last and final one Muhammad and many other prophets (peace be upon them all) and sent with them revelation (Psalm, Torah, Gospel and Quran). But after God saved and raised Jesus pbuh when they tried to kill him, people started worshipping him and changed his message. They went from worshiping one God, the creator of all, to trinity. So God sent the last and final messenger Prophet Muhammad pbuh and the last and final revelation Quran. That line sticks in my brain. I see what they were going for with that. But I think its just not true to life. And I know this movie is like Bible fanfiction 😅 made by a struggling/lapsed Catholic. I don't judge him. The man is an absolute legend of a director. even so. from a believer's perspective Jesus Christ chose the cross. Its not something that just happened to him. Jesus told the disciples multiple times that he was going to be rejected and killed. He told them to "take up their cross and follow me." Weeks before the crucifixion it says that Christ "set his face like flint to go to Jerusalem." With every step he was walking toward the cross. When Judas betrayed him, Jesus went without a fight. When the Pharisees accused him, Jesus didn't say one word. When the high priest asked him if he was the Messiah, Jesus looked right back at him and said "I am". He knew full well what those words would mean, and he said it without a trace of doubt or shrinking back. Jesus Christ chose the cross for us. He went to the cross because he loved his Father, and he loved us. ❤✝️ And if he had doubted God for even one moment, God would not have raised him from the dead. His faith would have been imperfect in God's eyes, and so his sacrifice would not have fully pleased God. But praise God, _Jesus Christ is alive._ He is worthy. He is the spotless Lamb who takes away all our sins.

I'm still not understanding why does God require the shedding of blood to forgive sins? Why can't he just forgive without the shedding of blood or threat of hell? couldn't God find another way to forgive the sins of humankind than this heinous way compared to the size of sin why he send his son or himself to earth and shed his own blood just to forgive us while he can do that with a snap of his fingers.
