The Last Ride | An Automotive Short Film (4K)

You only have a few hours before a government ban goes into effect which bans all non electric cars from ever being driven on the roads again. What would you do? Welcome to The Last Ride.
Super huge thank you to Nomie (thestreetsyndicate on IG) for presenting this idea to me. Originally this was supposed to be a shorter video, but I decided to turn it into a short film with a story. It was an extremely difficult project to execute especially since I've never made a short film before.
I had spent countless hours drawing up the storyboard, planning the shots, and figuring everything out. We spent all of January 2023 planning this short film. Recording sound and POV footage took place at the start of summer. Like all my shoots, we had some minor complications so a majority of filming was pushed back until late summer and even as late as October. The final bit of filming ended up happing in early December as we decided to add some spice to the script to keep the viewers attention.
It took over 50+ hours to completely finish this project. That included planning, recording sound, and filming. Also another huge thanks to @fullydrivn for helping out on the main day of the shoot. We all got up at 2am and filmed around the city of Chicago until about 6am. He made an amazing behind the scene video of that day and I'd really appreciate it if you guys took a look at it.
This being my first short film, it's definitely not perfect, but it's a step in the right direction and really pushed me to make something great. I'm a one man team and I'm truly thankful for all the help with this project.
Hopefully 2024 will present me with more opportunity to film more automotive short films.

I definitely agree! Car companies need to bring back these fun cars! If all goes well, I'll probably make a street racing short film in 2024!
We will never see as epic of an automotive era like we did in the 90s. Nice job capturing these JDM legends, truely amazing work!
