It really is emotional... FB was our home track.. we raced and we raced a lot.. We have been along for the full ride.. Miss the OG staff there.. Was really great to hear Johnny Moto still announcing there.. Best day there? hard to pick but we did win world finals there in CE one year... Most missed? all the super track personnel that worked for Charlie...

Good news is the SDBA just announced they will be running here first weekend in November and two more races next year. Thanks for watching and if you come to the race and see me say hi. ✌🏼🏁

@@workingstifflifestyle Very cool... I ran one event with SDBA.. I am not even sure where we ran it at.. This was in the years of Braskma/Anderson/Kinsley... I bought the old "Liquid Assets" boat from Mondo my second year running...

I remember the Bittersweet feeling while spectating and filming (Super 8) the last Drag Boat Race at Turlock,CA. I have that feeling again. Thanks for the video,I sure do appreciate it 👈😎👍👍👍

So ya'll can come out again this year, for another "Final Race". Pretty sure there's already one scheduled for 2024 as well. Phoenix is an awesome venue, hoping to get the 519 boat out there this year, even if they have more farewell tours than Kiss! Keep up the good work brother!

My best two memories of (then Firebird Raceway) was the 1983 meet where "The Texan" Eddie Hill set the World's Record Top Speed for Blown Fuel Hydro @ 229 mph through the quarter mile 1320 ft. It was a mind blowing run some 40 years ago. The second best memory was watching Bob Goettl winning the K Boat Circle Main Event. I'm not sure of his number but I think it was K26. Sad to see another great venue disappear to the developers. Just like Manzanita Speedway, Home of the Western World non-winged 410 Sprint Car championships back in 2007. The track was sold and left to decay in 2008. (PS, 1983 was the Era before driver safety capsules had been thought of.)

They plan on closing the entire facility possibly this year. There still is a deal in the works to maybe run one more this year. Nothing concrete but I am hoping for the best. Thanks for watching. ✌🏼🏁
