Motion capture actors should be winning oscars. And as an actress myself, it is such a challenge to create a whole world when it's not even there. Film sets create the world for you and helps. But these people literally have to be IN it throughout the technical things and props. Amazing.

That's what theatre actors do too, and the whole point of the Oscars is that it's specifically for film, that's why even TV actors can't qualify but they have the Emmy's instead

Real animals were used in the making of this game. Soo that's how they do that! Amazing. And the rat king clicker half, so inventive

@@Aleesh1881 I'm 100% positive anyone that complained about this game has never played it. I didn't complain but fell for the negative hype of "Joel fan-boys" and held off on buying it; but after beating it twice I'm extremely happy I played it.

@@josephgrizzly9634 Me to. Because in the fist two hour ( Actually, when the game is out, and I started to play) I saw the 2.9 at Metacritic and other websites. Horrible and shameful. But now Ghost Of T. is out and 9.2, great job 👏👏👏. They're telling; Joel is dead, SJW, LGBT, revenge story with out revenge, Abby is a boy... OH GOD! If there's a problem in this game, this the Tommy from the beginning ( When the Abby takes the shotgun, he just watched. And you know what? I figured it out, at my 5th gameplay. ) I am just waiting for game awards.

I so badly want the mocap footage of the Abby and Ellie fights in the theater and at the beach to be released. I just think that'd be super interesting to watch since Ashley and Laura are friends irl

My favourite part is rat king stalker separation. They basically need to know how to ride a horse, rool on the floor (professionaly), shoot, fight, sing. They made custom piping, brought a horse and a dog. That is why this game is an absolute masterpiece.

Wow!! Im actually very surprised of most of these comments are positive about this game! .when the game came out people were saying this was the worst game they have ever played. I loved this game, everything about it had me hooked. And its nice to see gamers are seeing the good about this game!👌

Normally Animated exactly and then they will hate on anyone who likes the game. They are determined to make Naughty Dog fail when most haven’t played the game. It’s like how 2 hours after the game came out it had like the most reviews on metacritic when 95% probably didn’t have the game then and they couldn’t have finished it. It’s so stupid. At least people have managed to get the user score up.

I can’t imagine how horrible it must have been for Ashley to do *that* scene. Considering all the tremendous loss she’s gone through in her life I’m just really sorry she had to go through that.

What's also amazing is those rooms are white and bars and the actors have to imagine being in a sewar or dark train tunnel and react accordingly. That is a fantastic talent in itself!

They just have the best cast for this game. Hands down, Ashley Johnson is the best, such a great actress. These voice actors/ actresses should win awards just like movie actors do.

Greedy Shekel Hoarder No games story takes more risk, no game is as detailed, no console game has graphics these good, it’s one of the most critically acclaimed games ever, and I love it. I think it’s the best game of all time, and just because we disagree doesn’t mean you should laugh at what I think...

I was hoping for abby and ellie to become allies against those ppl that captured her.

Just finished the game. Truly a masterpiece

To see all of these well trained animals and the dogs add ons are so amazing, the rat king part was my favorite. Thank you Naughty dog.

This must be the hardest type of acting, those type of actors should receive the highest amount of respect. Cause imagine how eerie it must be to film on this weird scenario, with nothing to see and all those weird clothes and yet have to convey intense emotions in profound scenes. It feels more difficult than other medias.

I wish more games put the effort into motion capture, animations and attention to detail that naughty dog does. Other companies just don't put this kind of effort into it like they do. They're so far ahead in this department.

Completely agree, I have not seen to this day a game as well made as this one. Even Far Cry 6 looked amazing in the trailer but then compared to last of us 2... Meh it's okay, naughty dog are so ahead of competition! I've never seen cinematics like this before and it does feel like every character is real! Makes you wanna interview them 😂

i love these videos where they show games are done😁i wish i could be there some day...

The thing with mcu motion capture is you think well atleast in the end the actor will get the screentime. They will even look cool as you see motion capture will give them superhuman powers to go alongside their performance. These actors did all this work in what many would consider humiliating costumes in conditions where you really have to use your imagination and act based off very little and gave terrific performances. For all they knew this game would fail or be quickly forgotten and even with the success of last of us as it is , we all know actors on video games aren't as tv/film actors. Props to them, they must have a real passion for what they do.

You guys don’t understand. The amount of imagination needed by each actor to act in the moment with literally no props or costumes to help you is extremely difficult. Props to these actors acting their faces off, and having fun while doing it.

I’m so in love with these games I really hope they make a 3rd one
