I totally get people who own PS4s and PS5s who have already bought the game twice not wanting to pay 70$ for a game that they've played so many times already and doesn't have the multiplayer in it. But for PC players who have NEVER had access to the game because they don't own a console, it's a lot cheaper for me to buy this game for 70$ on PC and play on my preferred platform then track down a console and buy it just for TLOU and also have to purchase the game itself there too.

@@THEREALGAMEMASTER-gz5xg it's 100% a remake nearly every single visual aspect has been remade from the ground up, AI has been vastly improved, physics saw a very significant bump aswell they even added some new gameplay mechanics from part 2 and a bunch of other new stuff, and besides, now in a remaster they usually only add a resolution and fps bump and some times modern lighting and that's it so what should we call it?

I'm glad this remake exists mostly for the groundbreaking accessibility options. The fact that someone platinum Part 2 even without their slight was amazing. So I think it's great that people with disabilities will experience the masterpiece that is part 1.

Exactly. This is my favorite game of all time, and I've been playing video games for 30 years now. I'm gonna wait for the discount. 70 bucks is way too much for a remake though. But for sure, for anyone who hasn't played this yet, it's a must buy.

They did reuse that runner NPC (the asian (?) woman, with the pale skin) that was everywhere in the sequel. One thing about Part II is that the zombies were always the same, and that woman specifically was everywhere. Apparently they are going to continue the lack of NPCs in this game too

This will defintiely be on pc shortly. And I'd imagine the sequel will come to pc towards the end of the ps5 life-cycle. Sony like to bring games to pc that have sequels they keep on console to entice new buyers. It worked for my friend who bought a ps5 after playing through Horizon.

But for PC players who have NEVER had access to the game because they don't own a console, it's a lot cheaper for me to buy this game for 70$ on PC and play on my preferred platform then track down a console and buy it just for TLOU and also have to purchase the game itself there too.

@@THEREALGAMEMASTER-gz5xg it's 100% a remake nearly every single visual aspect has been remade from the ground up, AI has been vastly improved, physics saw a very significant bump aswell they even added some new gameplay mechanics from part 2 and a bunch of other new stuff, and besides, now in a remaster they usually only add a resolution and fps bump and some times modern lighting and that's it so what should we call it?
Can't wait to buy it again on Playstation 6 in ten years!

I played the OG and the PS4 remaster a total of 15 times when combined. I will not hesitate to experience this game again. This is an instant buy for me. As soon as I can get my hands on a PS5 for MSRP :)

I'm glad this remake exists mostly for the groundbreaking accessibility options. The fact that someone platinum Part 2 even without their slight was amazing. So I think it's great that people with disabilities will experience the masterpiece that is part 1.

Just play the remaster. It’s cheaper and looks pretty much the same. The only difference will be the control gimmicks: which is cool, but doesn’t justify full price for a game that has already been remastered in less than a decade.

Seeing the vertical slice of this at E3 in 2012 is what got me back into gaming after about a 14 year break. One of the best games of all time for me. Will buy even though I have the original and the remaster already.

That price tag of $70 is steep for just updated textures. Owners of remastered should get this for free.
I'm definitely going to buy it but not at full price. I love factions and still play to this day so I can't convince myself to pay £70 for a game that's missing a main aspect of it

Look at it this way. Maybe it drops down to $40 in 2 years. That’s only $30 you save. You’re gonna spend $30 on plenty of unnecessary things over the next 700 days. Just buy the game and have fun.

I got this game on my birthday after work as a surprise that there was no copy’s left and they gave me the store worker one
Been wanting to replay this game for a while after lou2. Can't wait to revisit it with all the remastered goodies. Price tag may be steep, but I only pay full price for a handful of games per year anyways. It will be this and Ragnarok this year!
I am so eager to replay this masterpiece once again. The upgrades make this worthwhile and I have no regrets with pre ordering it.

They did reuse that runner NPC (the asian (?) woman, with the pale skin) that was everywhere in the sequel. One thing about Part II is that the zombies were always the same, and that woman specifically was everywhere. Apparently they are going to continue the lack of NPCs in this game too

This will defintiely be on pc shortly. And I'd imagine the sequel will come to pc towards the end of the ps5 life-cycle. Sony like to bring games to pc that have sequels they keep on console to entice new buyers. It worked for my friend who bought a ps5 after playing through Horizon.
