Izzi michaels the south had less than half of the soldiers the north had and way less supplies but somehow the south still killed more than 100,000 more than the north force to force the north couldn’t beat the south. losers? Nah 👍🏻😂

Sheridan’s raid on Richmond was expressly a mission to kill Stuart -he intimated as much. When Sheridan returned to Grant, while the latter was in a meeting with General Meade, Sheridan boasted heavily of killing Stuart. Grant and Sheridan yukked it up while Meade, an eastern gentleman, was disgusted by the coarse western display.

Not sure Stuart was as "great" as referred to here. At the start of the war, Virginians were the best horsemen on the continent and Stuart made good use of that advantage. But the Yankees eventually caught up. They fought the Virginians to a draw at Brandy Station and whipped them three weeks later at Gettysburg. (Not to mention Stuart's absence leading up to the battle which cost Lee greatly.) At the end, Stuart was just another dashing Cavalier with a plume feather in his hat.

Rest in peace dear Gen. Stuart!!! CSA forever!!!

You may be right. Custer may have been a better cavalry commander than Sheridan , but Forrest would have bitch-slapped either one of them off their horse

Custer was a little runt. The only thing he was good at was attacking women and children in their camps. He tried the same thing at Little Big Horn and it backfired
