I can only DREAM of being a part of the amazing series.

This series was one of the best I’ve ever seen. The cast was perfect and I laughed and cried when they did. Will miss it… 😭

I agrée. I watched it 10 times… and I do not like violence in anyway… Uthred and his pretty boys keep me watching it again and again.

The most brilliant beautiful drama I'v ever seen in this last decade the story the acting the details just perfect

I prefer Vikings. Plus they changed a lot from the books. But it WAS good.

This show was beautiful, I just loved Alex as Utred, his leadership is incredible throughout!

The actors did an amazing job! The whole crew created a masterpiece!

Eliza butterworth is an amazing actress She absolutely nailed her performance Like, my new favorite actress

Disliked her at first but really liked her as series unfolded. Missed her in movie.

The last kingdom est une magnifique série avec un casting de grande qualité. Alexander Dreymon campe un Uhtred de Bebbamburg flamboyant. Il est très beau, fort et fragile en même temps. C'est un guerrier écartelé entre deux cultures et il est l'âme de cette fresque car cette série est avant tout une fresque sanglante, épique, pleine d'actions et d'émotions de la même valeur qu'une série comme Viking. ❤❤❤

Alexander was so captivating in this tv show. His odd accent aside... He nailed every other aspect that there is to bringing a fictional character to life. Idk if either the character or the tv show as a whole is accurate to the books or not since I've never read them, but *this* take on the character that the show itself has created, it felt so alive to me. By the end of season 5 I couldn't let go of neither Alex's presence on screen(for me it had as much value to TLK as Travis Fimmel presence's to Vikings) nor the character and his journey... Almost as if I was a very part of it, as one of his close ones that were there, being witness to the life of Uhtred of Bebbanburg.

Alexander did jiu jitsu in real life but he was doing sword fighting for the tv Two completely different genres It was amazing what they did and learned

Big ❤ for all the Hungarian stuntmen and fighting scene coordinators, horses and horse trainers, and staff memebers, too. All the "invisible" people. Many videos about the shooting, filming but none of them mention that the filming took place in Hungary almost entirely, exept the Bamburg scenes. Even the Iceland scene was filmed in Hungary. If you visit Hungary, you can as well visit the iconic locations such as the prop-village of Alfred's Winchester, or Lake Velence where Uthred's Coocham was set up...

Alexander dreymon easily could be Richard O'Connor if the mommy movie intent to make a sequel. Or perhaps George in the jungle. He has the same charisma with Brandon Fraser.

I normally hate when people say "Well the books were better". Yet, I'd have to say they were, but probably only because I read the books after watching seasons 1-4, while waiting for 5. I think the books were enhanced since I could really picture the characters in my head because of the show. Still, the show was amazing. I wish they made a season or even two per book instead so we could get more of it.

King Alfreds wife was such a great actor. She nailed that role

tha last kingdom is my only best series for netflix

Great show but most the brst i have seen but good liked Mark the best ,the Scot with the great Irish accent .

Back then girls started having babies as young as age 13, so Butterworth still looking like her grown children probably wasn't that unrealistic.

Emily Cox real personality doesn’t seem that different from the role she plays so she was probably a perfect fit. And it’s a good bet that Eliza Butterworth would rock your world in the bedroom.

Aelswith actually got prettier as the show went on. A lot of people noticed it, and it was because Butterworth lost weight irl during that time, making her look slimmer and thus younger. Even though it didn't do a service to the character, it did a service to our eyes.

Just finished TLK, great show I binged 5 seasons in like 2 weeks. Vikings (2013) will always be my personal favourite but TLK was very, very close to being as good. Both shows much better than Vikings Valhalla.

Iseult was hot in that show.

Yeah I had no damn clue that was the same actress as Jesse Eden from Peaky Blinders. They did a hell of a job with that considering the mere three year time span between those two characters appearing on screen.

Some variations of stirrups were around in Asia in the BCs. As mobile as traders and conquerors were back then, I don't think it's that much of a stretch.

@@djc9755 was it possible? maybe, but it wasn't happening. i get that it's for actor safety, as riding without stirrups is incredibly dangerous ( a friend broke his back playing Tecumseh, and he was and is a real unit of a man, and had trained for it extensively), but it changes the dynamic a lot-- "cavalry" meant speed To skirmish, not mobile fighting platform. it's a very different combat.

Love the show but could do without the gratuitous $&× scenes.

Of course you had to use the term "strong female character" for Brida. 🤡😂

That’s not true. Vikings is nothing like the actual saga, Kattegat wasn’t even a place but an area of the sea. Ragnar wasn’t a farmer. It’s all incorrect but still fun. TLK kept to the larger historical timeline generally but it is still a drama too.

Only the timelines were accurate in TLK, and even then not always. For example, England already had shield walls. They didn’t learn to fight from some upstart Viking. Still, loved the show! Really wish Leofric was in more than just the first season

lol Vikings was trash lol I couldnt make it past season 4. Lots of historical accuracies here. Alfred the Great and his family AND Ultred were all real people that existed. GOOGLE IT
