Paul Jones what? Fuck off bro Americans never did shit to you. L
Kevin Smith, there is a theory out there that it wasn't a "thumbs-up" BB-8 made with his torch, but instead was BB-8 flipping Finn off. Just something to consider.
Loving the videos these recent months, this is a channel i watch AS SOON as it uploads
Fucking love you guys. After a hard day's work...coming home and listening to you two definitely makes an average day a hundred times better. Thank you.
I'm a big Kevin Smith fan. I watch/listen to a lot of his podcast stuff. I don't see why they haven't acknowledged the "batman and Harley Quinn" movie this year... it was great to see for people who grew up on the animated series
I never pulled the headphones out of my ear faster then when Marc said spoilers
i feel like when BB-8 did the "thumbs up" with his lighter, he was actually saying "i will burn you" to Finn.
i love that you guys are industry pros who can talk seriously about your business but also have fun with it. I'm sick as a dog and it's very painful for me to laugh right now but I simply could not stop.
Dogsoldiers is probably the most underrated werewolf film of all time
Jules Vern and H.G. Wells, yo. Between them, and Mary Shelley, Steampunk has been around consistently for quite some time. Long before there was a term for it. (Honorable mention goes to Bram Stoker, mostly for the creation of Professor Van Helsing.)
have you guys heard about the gremlins 3 and the comment about killing Gizmo to save us from other gremlins
Informally, "Steampunk" traces some of its roots to another William Gibson story. A collaboration with Bruce Sterling called "The Difference Engine", which was alt-future history if Charles Babbage got ubiquitous mechanical computers working during Victorian-era England.

You guys need some desk mounted microphones lol. Sporting the Bob Barker look
Way to go big! The award goes to Kevin Smith. Great stream Marc and Kevin.
Tim Miller was also the Creative Director for Dawn of War's opening cinematic. Maybe someone should get him to direct a movie set in the Warhammer 40k universe.
I just wore that shirt this week, Marc!
One of Randall Flags's aliases is Walter O'Dim.
I've been watching for a while and I try not to laugh. I thought I was going to make it through this video without laughing at 2:30 AM (morning)..... Nope. The damn Flava Flav got me. LOL. Good times.
His name is Walter O'Dim, aka: Walter Padick, Marten Broadcloak, The Man in Black, Nyarlathotep, Bill Hinch, Randall Flagg, Russell Faraday, Richard Fannin, Richard Freemantle, Rudin Filaro, The Covenant Man, Richard Fry, Robert Franq, or Ramsey Forrest. While it has never been definitively confirmed, it is also rumored that he himself was posing as "The Good Man" John Farson when Roland Deschain was a boy, and that he was the one who caused the wars that brought the downfall of Gilead, Stephen Deschain, and Roland's original Ka-tet. This guy changes names and faces like most people change socks and underwear. It is the same character in EVERY iteration, throughout Stephen King's work. He is one of the most prolific and antagonizing bad-guy characters that has ever been written. Even within the Dark Tower novels, he is known by at least 3 different aliases, though no one besides himself and the reader knows this fact. Anyone who ever figured it out, he killed immediately. Matthew McConaughey played the character perfectly.
Regarding the Dark Tower: Randall Flagg is one of many aliases that the character of Walter O'Dimm uses throughout the vast Stephen King universe, so yes, they are the same character.
Bladerunner came out a bit before Neuromancer, actually. Also, Flagg is The Crawling Chaos, Nyarlethotep.
There was a Neuromancer script in the early 90ies with Ridley Scott attached to direct. Randall Flagg is Nyarlathotep. The spawn of Azatoth, the dreamer of worlds.
Thoughts on Cable? I think Brolin is going to crush it!
Porgs are named after the sound produced when you step on one.
From the first time I saw the lighter scene with bb8 I read it as a middle finger and I always will

Derek Morrison haha me too.
Neuromancer is cool, but I would prefer someone taking the Shadowrun universe and run with that!
The stand is already made into a movie with the guy from CSI New York
Shit the bed! You are doing this show, in the cantina, on my birthday! Shame I live in England, but on the plus side, I was an extra in Last Jedi (and Rogue One).
Marc, congrats on your comic selling out!
I love a Dog Soldiers reference no matter how small.
Did I see marc bernardin on an episode of diners, dives and drive ins?
Award wining performance at the last few mins
Kevin looked like Porkins with that flubbed metaphor. :p
The Battle Of Blackwater in Game Of Thrones was in season 2 fellas! Not season 3 Marc.

Fantastic video. William Gibson coined the phrases cyberspace and matrix for things like the Internet but not cyberpunk. I might be the only person who liked The Stand miniseries but I think the book is too dense to turn into a single movie unless that movie is six hours long.
Hell yeah, back to Regular content
Hey Kevin, you'll probably never read this but would you ever consider reviewing the spectacular spiderman tv show from 2008? It's my favorite Spiderman show and no one talks about it
The wall-e LOL
Kevin- love the show, but I miss the coversations with creators and actors about Batman. The show is still called Fatman on Batman I think you all should talk about Batman on every episode. Use your celebrity for the powers of good. Get us an interview with Batfleck!!!-Ian
When are those tickets for Scum and Villainy going on sale? It's been a week and nothing has gone up
Hey, now that mission impossible is delayed for months I'm surprised you guys didn't mention that WB can now shave Cavil's mustache. Putting an end to this saga
Guys we need a Defenders Review with lots and lost of spoilers

No Boom Mic's @ FAT MAN ON BATMAN???
Tim Miller is also doin a sonic the hedgehog movie
Tinker, tailor, soldier, spy... like The Good Shepherd... too long and arduous.
when are you doing The DEFENDERS?
Anybody else feel that we're about 20 years too late for a Neuromancer movie?
i loved the "dark tower" it is okay that they did not make it into a trilogy the "dark tower" is the "temple of the doom" of our day
Great show guys see you next time. (Did Bob find Amy, Did Batflec find Alyssa? Did Banky, Jay, Holden & Bob make a movie about Clerks and end up in Hollywood. Do they hang in front of a 7/11 in Cali till 1 day Alyssa walks in with Amy? I may be grasping at stories but Stephen King isn't the only one that's having trouble finishing them lol I wanna know if Bob Found Amy & I wanna know if Holden Found Alyssa i know you'd have one of these break my heart and one of them lift me up if the script was good ben might do it i dunno i'd love to see them together again im pretty sure thats the half of the story that would break my heart but if bob and amy found each other again itd be cool i look more like you than ben aflec anyway lol) itd have to be pretty real a version of you that didnt meet your wife didnt have harley never known that joy and one day the chase is over. Call it Loosing Amy and at some point there must be some heart felt discussion about how you already lost her once dammit "im not "loosing amy" again" title reference you could take from life you must have screwed up sometime so bad you were terrified of loosing your wife you are a human man these things happen we screw up take from life bring the feels i dunno i wanna know what happened.)

Roland of Gillead...one of my all time favorite heroes! Why can't they just stick to the source material?!?!
Steampunk as a coin term came later, but steampunk itself came waaaaaaay before, it started with Jules Verne and HG Wells back in the 19th century... I mean go read some Verne or even War of the worlds and there's virtually no difference between those and the 80s/90s steampunk movement as we know it. It's essentially sci fi with wooden vehicles, horses and monocles...
@nicholascross3557

Debatable. The common theme of the 'punk' genres is that a technology is ubiquitous, in cyberpunk, everyone has access to a virtual world of some sort that has genuine importance, whilst 'steampunk' is basically, "What if the Industrial Revolution had been more high-tech?" a genre also explored by Gibson, with help, in the book 'The Difference Engine.' In both Wells and Verne's works, however, the tech is isolated by belonging to aliens in War of the Worlds or to one man in The Time Machine or 20,000 Leagues. That being said, Wells, Verne and Shelley easily deserve the title of grandparents of Sci-Fi whose broad themes are still shaping popular culture to this day.
I thougt bb 8 was giving fin the middle finger not thumbs up
Can we make Bernardin'd a thing?
I think the dogs were the best part of the show
A point about the dark tower movie...yeah it has a huge following but if you make the movie wrong you will have a huge backlash.
Wonder how many Stephen King fans pointed out that Walter O'Dim and Randal Flagg are the same person?
Porg. It's what's for dinner.
Going to the starwars world lol ahah Fat Man on batman yeah
I just watched Yoga Hosers. It was funny.
ooh! "War of the Gargantuas" was a tasty monster movie. Giant blue ape versus giant red ape. With subtle socio-political overtones. Veiled cold war commentary. Maybe i'm reading too much into it. I was probably just high. Anyway, good memory.
I thought BB8 was a ripoff of Wall-E. i can't wait for the Buzz Lightyear cameo to follow. Crossing fingers.
I never thought of this (sorry if it's been said) until now, but could Last Jedi just be Luke is the last jedi and now Rey is the next jedi?
I love Kevin Smith.
I'm quite thirsty, I wish I had some FIJI WATER, DELICIOUS FIJI WATER.
Porgs...goddamn Porgs. Couldn't we have Luke on a island by himself without Disney Cute?
SPOILERS ALERT: The Porgs are the Last Jedi
Fucking love your movies Mr. Smith I've seen mallrats something of a billion times Dogma was my second favorite chasing Amy was pretty good, not really into that kinda movie, but it was good, tbh I listened to tough shit like two months ago and have only seen three of your movies

Porgs look like the offspring of a pinguin that was raped by an evil mogwai!! The caretakers look like young Mystics from The Dark Crystal. I hope these new additions don't ruin the vibe of the movie.
"We like to finish each other's sentences" No, Kevin Smith. You just like to interrupt and cut off Marc Bernardin.
To all Star Wars fans Obi wan movie is coming soon Mr Smith
If you go with the Frankenstein from the 2004 Van Helsing movie starring huge jack off man then yes Frankenstein is a cyborg.
Flagg has a number of aliases - Jesus, guys, read the fucking source material!
Another author, Neal Stephenson, invented Google Earth and his own version of the Internet in his novel Snow Crash, published in 1992. He jokes about how Google stole the idea for Google Earth from a hack author in a more recent book, REAMDE.

Bernard, your eye herpie is bumping today.
IF, Disney was smart and wanted to deliver something we would never expect... Daisy would die in this film and leave Luke to training someone to take her place. I doubt they'll go that rout because we already had out hearts ripped out in the last one with Han, but man, what a shock that would be, and set up for some type of 'return of the jedi' in the following one.
