    Guys ... Finally, I have no words ... Just a stupid smile on my face, watered by tears of joy, and thoughts of friendship, wishing that one day, I could hold my beer up, and have a happy and warm cheers with you !! And yes ... this was really EPIC !!! I have two sayings that I use on my adventures/channel/life ... "Cruising Freedom" ... and the most used one ... "Adventure man, Adventure!!" Your "Overlandings" deserve a deep breath and a shout of "Adventure man, Adventure!1" ... YOU ROCK!! Cheers ... Thank You !!!!

    3 Smoke I’m sure it would! The biggest challenge on that trail was our clearance. At a shorter wheelbase it would have been a little more doable. And you’re right, slow and precise while minimize risk was the ticket. Thanks so much and Merry Christmas!

    Nice mix of mild overlanding and harder "rockcrawlin', wheelin', offroading, etc., (pick your own term)". I try to have a mix of the same thing on the runs that I lead. It shows the "measure" of your team, knowing when to hit the pause button, when you are over your head and calling an audible to keep the team moving towards you destination. We have plenty of this in Texas and Oklahoma. Come on down and we will show you some Texas hospitality. Well done on the series!!

    Having run Potts numerous times, your line choices weren't bad, but they could have been better if I'm being 100% honest. Overall though, not bad, especially with Taco's. In the end though, line choice pales to teamwork, and y'all have it in spades. Great job spotting each other through and not giving up on a tough trail section. Don't feel bad on 6 hours; even with moderately built Wranglers it took me and 2 buddies about 3 hours to get through that whole section of Potts in the front half of the video. Smart decision to not try climbing that next section though. Coming down that is hairy enough with a Jeep, and climbing it is even more so. Let me know next y'all come into VA. • @msoverland

    @msoverland

    4 жыл бұрын

    Taller and skinny is a personal preference to big and wide because they are typically a lighter weight tire and clearance is more important than flotation. Tall skinnies are getting harder to come by these day however.

  • @fouUili684

    @fouUili684

    4 жыл бұрын

    Mountain State Overland thanks for the reply and you are right. I wish tire manufacturers made 35/10.8 tires. But ultimately I think it all depends on the terrain you drive on, I think skinnys have more advantages than wide tires but, no one carries around different size tires, there’s a compromise in everything.

    @@msoverland Thanks for reply. Love you guys stuff. I'm in the Asheville area. Actually been to OK4WD myself looking at the Khaya camper. Discussed it with Ren back in the summer. Ended up buying a 2015 4runner Trail Premium and planning my build. Wife actually purchased her MaxTrax from OK4WD. May be hitting you guys up for advice. Would love to ride with ya'll one day.

    It sucks because I thought your older videos were really good. Now it’s just seeing how many shots you can get your sponsored maxtrax in and playing slap and tickle while you video yourselves driving around

    So sorry we've let you down. Each of us have owned our Maxtrax for over 5 years and counting (notice none of these were the MT Xtremes). A proper Maxtrax commercial would have utilized the latest and greatest, rigth? We used our board out of necessity because our trucks lacked the clearance to navigate this trail. Could we have staked more rocks for clearance? Sure, but using trax was way easier.

    Agreed. I only made it 12 minutes in and every scene they had maxtrax out and they could have easily driven the track at least 75% of the time without them.
